You must fuse an existing MITAMA demon (Mitama Race) INTO another demon. You may have found - like myself - that the mitama do not fuse into each other and the description is a bit vague. Several Mitama Fusions are unlocked via the Soul Matrix, so you will need to finish Floor 3 of each Soul Matrix to unlock all of the below, though for this achievement only 1 is required.

Create your base Mitama:
Nigi Mitama = B Hawaii Frost + Melon Frost
Kusi Mitama = Melon Frost + Lemon Frost OR B-Hawaii Frost + Strawberry Frost
Saki Mitama = Lemon Frost + Strawberry Frost OR B-Hawaii Frost + Milk-kin Frost
Ara Mitama = Melon Frost + Strawberry Frost OR B-Hawaii Frost + Lemon Frost OR Lemon Frost + Milk-kin Frost OR Strawberry Frost + Milk-kin Frost

I just fused an Ara Mitama into a spare Decarabia (Fallen) for example to gain this achievement. If any of the fusions change over time (this happened in the various versions of P5) please leave a comment below and I'll update the guide.

I need one last demon, the kusi Mitama and neither of the recipes works for it

No, it's right. Kushi Mitama is made by fusing a Melon Frost and a Lemon Frost.

I noted this in the achievement with some additional information I found online. For this achievement though it should be noted to future readers it only requires one of these Mitama.

So there doesn't seem to be any big benefit to fusing mitamas. The only thing I potentially see is using them to add certain abilities to your main demon lineup but it's a huge hassle to fuse the specific demons you need to do it. For those who are interested essentially get a demon with the abilities you want and fuse it into a frost variant somehow. Be sure to register them in the compendium for multiple uses and fuse the frost into any mitama and then use that mitama to fuse with your main demon to add your intended ability/abilities.

Honestly it's really not worth the hassle but I fused a pixie with a mitama that knew megidolan so now I have a pixie that knows megidolan

So it finally worked. But you need to finish a quest to be able to do the fusion, which is something that needs to be updated. I don’t remember which one it was one of the retrieve 8 orbs or crystals and it was Saizo’s soul matrix.

Putting the quest required to be completed to get the Mitama would be helpful. I found mine on a random YouTube video.
