A bonus attack occurs when you knock down a red enemy sprite while you're in exploration mode and then make contact with that enemy to trigger the battle, where you can be rewarded occasionally with an "Ally Assist" attack from any one of your party members. The achievement will pop after you get this "Ally Assist" bonus 10 times, and can be done as soon as after you complete the main story of the East Shipping District from the start of the game, and then freeroam the area after you unlock the Safehouse.
