How to unlock the Mystery of the Swords achievement in Soulcalibur IV - Definitive Guide
This should not be a problem as story mode is easy and short even on hard. If you are having trouble then keep doing throws (LT) on your opponents.

This is not stackable. Advise doing normal first.

The way i did this was with the apprentice. I'm really bad at this game but still found it pretty easy. What i did was going as normal through the first 4 stages of the story, they're really not that hard. Just do a lot of throws and block a lot and you should be able to go through those stages pretty easy.
When you face Algol as the last boss he's a little trickier. Hold block all the time and do throws when he's standing next to you. He counters a lot and can easilly drain half your life if you're not paying attention. Once he's down to half of the green you can take more chances to end it faster as time may be running out.
Once he's dead the achievement will pop after the screen that shows how much money you earned.

The two difficulties do not stack, you will need to do one on Hard and one on Normal. If you are having trouble, try the tricks for the Tower of Lost Souls/Arcade Mode using Astaroth's cheap moves.
