How to unlock the Guardian achievement in SOULCALIBUR - Definitive Guide

Go to practice mode with Cervantes, versus Sopithia.

Set Freestyle Settings -> Guard Impact -> Repel.

Record yourself doing the following sequence:

X
Counter with -> A
X
Counter with -> A

Then, using careful timing, simply press RB/RT to execute this until your burst combo gets to 25.

I used both TEKKENITE's method and this one (Abylities'). Using Abylities' method I was able to get 182 consecutive bursts. Once I experienced how easy it was this way I tried to get 25x10, but oh, well. :)

I cannot for the life of me get more than one burst with any method. I guess I have shit timing.

Life saver!
I would've been there for days if this hadn't informed me of being able to record sequences.
Bravo.

I didn't completely understand at first but just record yourself doing two burst then play the recording, every two Burt's press rt/rb again till u get to 25. It has to be a combo of 25

Worked perfectly for me, no issues. It's a shame this solution has been down voted, once you understand the record setting it's easy. Thank you for this!

You got me... no matter what I try - after burst3 or 5 -my character starts blocking. I've got it to record perfectly, and keep hammering RT - after the first volley they start blocking every time. I'll have to try on a 360 - maybe the xboxONE emulation is off... roll

This completely works and is very easy:

Just record yourself doing X and then --> + A TWICE. So you get TWO bursts in your recording. The only tricky part is that the record feature is based purely on time, so you have to get 2 Burst before the time runs out. It shouldn't be too difficult, though.

Once you have TWO Burst saved, it's EXTREMELY easy to spam the RB/RT buttons to execute the recording.

I found it easiest that when you start spamming the RB/RT you should have the opponent against the outside of the ring so they cant back up too far, that had been my issue trying and I got it the first time keeping them at the edge

Awesome solution.
Just to clarify for anyone having trouble:
When you are recording it, do it as soon as you go back in game because the timer of the recording ends fast, you want to press both buttons at the same time ->+X and then ->+A right away two times, then press RT if default controller settings to perform the movement you just recorded, if done correctly you'll be able to perform 2 bursts, press RT again when the second burst have completely finished an so on, you have a second or so of time to press RT again after the two recorded movements were performed. So no rush in spamming RT/RB is needed.

For those who need help: set up practice mode like how this solution shows and when you hit cn_X, hit cn_right+cn_A as she swings. no timing to it, just after you make contact, this should work like a charm.

Even easier solution. Do it the right way...using record is too much of a hassle to perfect.

Go to practice mode with Cervantes vs Sophitia.

Pause & Set Freestyle Settings -> Guard Impact -> Repel.

Unpause, and rhythmically attack with this pattern.

X -->
A -->

Rinse, wash & repeat until you hit 25 in a row.

It may take a few tries of getting close and having to start over, but after trying it over and over and OVER with the record option, this was MUCH easier.

I tried spamming A-> after attacking and it did me no good. Then i slowed down and timed it, it worked like a charm the timing window for the counter is enormous unless you're spamming it.

Definitely easier to do the normal way. I used Mitsurigi as my char and Xianghua as opponent.

Go into training, then option. Go to Freestyle Settings > Guard Impact > Rebel.

Simply slash using X, she'll repel, then you press forward and A.
Now press X again, wait for repel, f+A.

It's very easy to do, timing isn't even essential between these 2 you'll get the rhythm down in no time. Same as Tekkenite's solution but dunno if Cerv vs Sophitia is as easy as Mitsu vs Xianghua.

Great solution . In order to get the timing right as soon as I slashed with x I did the forward a as fast as I could and it worked straight away.

this was the only solution that said press forward while pressing A, got it as soon as i started doing it. the other just say X + 6A which was useless. thanks, great solution

Set Freestyle settings: Guard impact repel

I do it with Taki vs Lizardman
