There are also some waves later in the first level where the enemies move straight down instead of side to side, making them really easy to pick off.

On the first level in Arcade mode, just shoot 4 without missing then collect laser and hold (A) and blast either left or right across the remaining invaders!

When there is a small wave to shoot at just take it slow and easy. Alternatively, get a laser in one wave and hold it until the next wave and release it and get all of the wave with the one shot.
