How to unlock the Bug Stomper achievement in Sparklite - Definitive Guide

This boss is always vulnerable but has many attacks. Rockets, sandstorms and a pincher attack. His attack order isn't as predictable as the last 3 bosses but I didn't find he did enough damage to care. Whenever he stops just go smack the hell out of him until he dies. Really helps to have defense patches on to reduce the bosses damage and health patches to give you more hearts. You could also use the crossbow + patches to increase its damage.

This the boss of the fourth area of the game and one of the more difficult bosses, although still nothing to worry about. As with any boss, if you're having difficulty, your best bet is to focus on farming gems for upgrades and clearing out as much of the map as possible in advance, to stock up on health and damage pickups.

As opposed to the bosses that came before it, you're free to damage this boss at any time by striking the front of it but you're going to need to focus on a number of attacks all coming at you at once. Periodically, pincers will shoot out, attacking the area you need to be standing in order to do damage to the boss but these attacks happen on a set timer so give yourself plenty of time to back away. The boss also shoots two rockets at you, which will slowly arc towards you before detonating. It's easy to lose track of them but if you dodge them they will detonate before looping back around. The boss fires a laser, which is easily telegraphed by the line it draws on the ground before the laser actually does damage. Finally, the boss's tail will punch into the ground, creating a whirlpool that will pull you into the center. The tail can do damage but more often than not it should miss you completely. Focus on dodging all of these attacks and getting in hits whenever the coast is clear, then you should be reasonably safe.
