Margot and Pogo can be found in the Vinelands. When you find one you'll be given a pendant to show the other. This has to be done in one run otherwise the pendant will break and you'll need to find them again.
Mendel
You will probably first find Margo once you have access to the Goldenwoods. She'll be standing on the map wearing a giant backpack and will tell you about her missing brother, giving you a medallion to give to him. You'll need to find Pogo without dying to give him the medallion, otherwise you'll need to find Margo again. She will give you a clue as to which area of the map he's hiding and once you find him, they'll both return to the Refuge.
