How to unlock the Rich and Famous achievement in Spartacus Legends - Definitive Guide

in addition to the other solutions I want to add, that once you've installed the title update, you're able to start a regular online boosting session with a friend via exhibition match. click on exhibition match, invite a friend and earn massive xp. you only need a good stack of silver in order to buy weak white fighters for about 420 silver and 550 silver to start the match.
get beaten by your friend, then repeat in turns by switching sites. even for losing you'll rack up a lot of xp, plus, if you activate the in game fame bonus for 20 gold, you double your xp.
during the 2x fame weekend I was able to jump from level 22 to 50 within 12 hours of gaming. with the activated in game fame bonus my gained xp was quadrupled(?)!
hope this helped!

**why negative? it's as easy as can be!!!**

**update: I recently found out, that in the english version of the game it's called a wager match, not an exhibition match! **

**update 2: since nobody mentioned it, I want to add that you can also do the in game challenges witch you fullfill by winning a certain amount of fights, killing enemies online etc. after completing the challenge, select it and press A to gain silver, fame or/and gold! UPDATE: as mentioned in the comments, the challenges wont give you fame anymore. instead you will earn gold, which isn't that bad, since you can buy the fame boost with it... **

**update 3: here is a list of the required xp per level plus the ammount of matches you have to play, posted by Love01082008 below in the comments. thanks, appreciate your work!
Lv 44 to 45 16 Matches 150800 Exp (5 dbl fame applied 5 W and 11 L matches)
Lv 45 to 46 15 Matches 192000 Exp (10 Dbl Fame Applied 10 W 5 L matches)
Lv 46 to 47 12 Matches 186000 Exp (12 Dbl Fame Applied 12 W)
Lv 47 to 48 22 Matches 208000 Exp (6 Dbl Fame Applied 12 W 10 L matches)
Lv 48 to 49 20 Matches 216000 Exp (9 Dbl Fame Applied 10 W 10 L matches)
Lv 49 to 50 31 Matches 232000 Exp (This was 15 Wager matches as Loses, the rest were online arena I used 2 Dbl Fame in the process)

Obviously on Lv 46 to 47 I must of had a residual carry over so I wager it is about 200k. If others verify you might be able to get better numbers and that means better calculations for boosting sessions and how many double Fame people should acquire. **

good thing everybody is doing well in this game since the update! thanks for voting on my solution!

I understand that the people who sunk 120 hours in this are pissed as fuck now that you can do this in under 10. That's why some negative votes, +1 from me ofcourse. Also people downvote because they are plain idiots.

I think it may be quite a bit more than 120 hours since 49-50 took me 4 1/2 hours during double fame. Doesn't even bother me that they made it easier, now I'm more inclined to re-do it for this tag smile

I can't understand why people give negative feedback just because they spent more time to unlock one achievement. I made a solution with a different idea to boost wager match, that gives more XP when it is your turn to lose, it works and it is explained, but only people who gave me a positive vote send me messages.

If you want to add, and let people verify, the information below.
Wager Matches with some double fame applied
Matches and Approximate Experience
Lv 44 to 45 16 Matches 150800 Exp (5 dbl fame applied 5 W and 11 L matches)
Lv 45 to 46 15 Matches 192000 Exp (10 Dbl Fame Applied 10 W 5 L matches)
Lv 46 to 47 12 Matches 186000 Exp (12 Dbl Fame Applied 12 W)
Lv 47 to 48 22 Matches 208000 Exp (6 Dbl Fame Applied 12 W 10 L matches)
Lv 48 to 49 20 Matches 216000 Exp (9 Dbl Fame Applied 10 W 10 L matches)

So let's assume I used Double Exp from using Gold, AND had a double exp event. How long would it take to get to level 50 from say, level 10 area?

Well, I think both can rank up nearly the same amount win or lose, so should only be about the 8-10 total.

Thanks BP. One things for this guide though. I think the Devs said something on their website about the challenges no longer giving fame. The challenges still say that they do... but they don't. Instead you get a sum of gold to go with it. I noticed this when I got no fame but I did get gold; despite the game saying it should be the other way around.

By Dembe Hisham on 10 Nov 2015 04:37
At the moment its 2x for november not 3x but the beauty behind this is that the fame booster if you've less then 15k is only 1 gold, And you can buy 99x at a time! So for about 20 or so gold you get 99x boosters! THIS IS INSANELY EASY QUICK!! I hope this helps alot of people! DO the arena for 550 silver and have 99 boosters and u get 2400 for losing and 5800 for winning

I would upvote this solution as it decreases the time needed to get to 50 a lot (and may have to put the method in my walkthrough for this too) but unfortunately I cant as I posted a solution at the time so still cant vote on these. Also to all the people saying all of us that grinded this achievement are just being butthurt how are all of us? I am fine with it along with many others that grinded this some of them are but I kind of understand as we did sink a lot of time into it just to know that we could've saved a lot of time if we had waited.

In the end I don't really care do you mind (if I do actually update it) That I mention about the exhibition matches into the walkthrough for this btw?

This is math done at 500 fame roughly a battle, Maybe 300 - This is correct information at boosting 5600 a match for wins and 2400 for a lose, Before hand people did well over 2k battles to 50 now its about 300 matches tops also don't taunt thats slow and stupid, Hit the other guy, Both people use a hammer 1 hammer hit on 550 arena means its full fame then other guy just beats the hell outta you, Last move needs to be a grab so you don't die and waste time and money with revives.

By MrSkiBear on 13 Nov 2015 02:21
FYI, I'm double-boxing and here are my numbers. With the current level of fame (5600 for a win), I won 137 matches to get from level 1 to level 40 (no losses). I'm estimating around 288 more to get to 50 based on the xp amounts in this solution. My matches (including loading times) somewhere between 2-3 minutes. This gives a total time of 14-22 hours... approximately smile

Of course, if you are alternating wins with someone, I would add 33% to that time. So, 19-29 hours, depending on how quickly you bring down the other's health, taunt, press cn_A, press cn_start, etc.

WARNING: Spartacus Legends servers close on December 22nd 2015.
https://www.ubisoft.com/en-US/game/spartacus-legends/?modalI...

Edit: TRIPLE FAME IN NOVEMBER: You have until through November 30th to take advantage of the boost.
Triple Fame for Spartacus Legends in November

Using this method you'll earn the maximum amount of XP EVEN WHEN YOU LOSE:

If you don't know how to boost playing Wager matches, please read "WAGER MATCH BOOSTING" section. If you know how to do it, the solution is just below.

TAUNTING
• Assuming you're the loser this time, wait for your gladiator's health is almost gone.
Now your partner DON'T kill you and you need to taunt him 4 times in a row to raise your Crowd Favor bar. After the 3rd time it should be already full but you need to do it once more after it is fully completed.
• While you're taunting your partner 4 times, he may also taunt you to keep his Crowd Favor full, but he only needs to do it 3 times, maybe twice (together with your 3rd and 4th one) if you made it at the same time.
• As soon you made your last taunt (remeber that you need to perform at least one taunt after your Crowd Favor is fully completed), your partner's gladiator needs to use a grab (press cn_B button) to end the match without killing you, so you won't need to spend coins to revive your gladiator or to buy a new slave.

(I used spoiler links to make the solution smaller)

TAUNT TIPS:

WAGER MATCH BOOSTING:

Edit:
SINGLEPLAYER TIP:

A special thanks to my friend Pr0jectMichael who helped me to figured out how it exactly works. smile

Very nice. I gave you a thumbs up because this is the exact same method I used with 2 360s. With the gold I earned with the spare 360 I used it for the silver boost. Then won with the spare 360 until that boost expired so I would have funds to keep playing. This was before the daily challenges so that may be obsolete now.

Nice guide ... about wager match boost : there are daily challenges that give you XP and gold, so take a white gladiator (cost 420 silver) and let him killed by your partner (challenge : 5 kills online).
The best way to avoid the loss of your glad : the "loser" is a white gladiator and the winner finish the fight with B attack ... the gladiator don't die.

This is my solution on how im working to get Rich and Famous achievement, I don't have it yet, but I am working on strategies on how to get it without wasting too much time, you can sit here and work on it every day, or you can do what I do and work on it every once and a while and save all the possible time I can without blowing all my time away.

I went from lvl 24-50 in a single double XP event, if I had done it right I would have done 1-50 in a single event if I knew how to use everything correctly and not waste gold! If you want the fastest possible XP, during a Double XP event, swap winning in Wager matches, if you do this it is by far the fastest method! Make sure to note: you do need alot of silver! The loser loses 550 silver every wager match, and the winner doesn't gain any, but gets his 550 at the end of the match. Also the winner does earn more XP (See notes further down) so swapping is a great idea, I would recommend setting an amount of matches to swap with so its fair for both players!

Most important!

Tactics

Other things to know and do

If you have any questions just comment or message me, I am done with this game, but I will try to help, if not someone who knows could answer the question. Also if there is anything wrong with my solution, grammatically, or wrong info just message me and I would greatly appreciate it! Any ideas or strategies would be appreciated and I will give credit to anyone who gives them to me. Thanks everyone and good luck!

You only get 1000 xp per win in wager matches now which is only 2000 xp on double xp so it seems now the most you can get is 4000 xp instead of 8000.

I may not have worded the first comment well, after the last xp event finished wager matches went frrom 2000xp to 1000xp so i don't think you can get 8000xp anymore i think the most you can get in a match now is 4000xp.

i use the same strategy : i boost with a friend, we play wagger matches (with the higher rate of fame). for the first round, the looser take a white glad (400 silver), who'll be executed three time (daily challenge : kill 3 times online) ... Then we end matches with B button, so the glad is still alive after the round. We play until the daily challenge are finished. The double xp weekend did help a lot, but after lvl 35, very very very annoying ...
Very important thing : when you get a higher level, you are gift with gold only if you win the round ... if one of the 2 partner is close to next level, he had to win.

THIS WILL BE UPDATED AS SOON AS NEW/EASIER INFO IS FOUND

This isn't as daunting as it looks, but it is like any leveling achievement, a grind.

as I have not won this yet I will update this periodically.

now i have gained a few levels today by using a very easy method. that has been stated on here somewhere already. (not sure where but if i find it I will credit the person)

there are two combos in this game that the computer cant handle. hold down and spam X or hold forward and spam X (depending on weapon, haven't used all fighting styles yet)

the best way i found to level is as soon as you are required to recruit a new gladiator is imedietly go to the first fight in the first area so you can get the +10 boost then go to the highest level fighter you can in a district with high XP bonus and spam the above combo's (*down X for twin knives, and twin swords, sword shield, forward X for two handed sword and two handed hammer)

**********EDIT******** Weapon Spam list thanks to monkeyboy3009 for the trident

Trident - Down Y or forward X (good to use against craxus and spartacus, along with back and XX if they are coming at you fast)

from here on out i just edited info from Gamefaqs all props to DarKxReckoninG who posted on the site. my adds are in ( )

Dual Swords - Double Tap Forward + Y (as i said above down+x also works)

Dual Daggers - Y repeatedly. (Down+x also works)

Two Handed Hammer - X+A At the same time while out of reach of foe. (follow up with Down+Y for a cheap follow up hit)

Spears - Down + Y repeatedly. (good to mix it up with down=X and forard Y to keep distance)

Sword and Shield - Run forward + Y. (also down and X)

Two-Handed Sword - Run forward + Y (also forward XXX)

(remember after combos that down't work get ready to dodge or block, these are good tactics for the first playthrough but the game gets tougher after that)

it is always a good idea to go to a high silver district also and do the same to gain money for when you need to buy certain weapons for fighting styles or keep your dude from dieing (although dieing shouldnt be a problem as spamming combo's you win 99% of the time)

things to remember.

1. Never spend your MS points to get gold, you don't need to, you get an adequate amount to net you legendary gladiators you defeat once you level, but you probably won't need them anyway unless you are finding it really difficult to defeat certain fighters

2. Open up the extra recruit slots straight away as you will need to recruit certain fighting styles for certain fights.

3. don't spend coin or gold on boosts, you really won't need them, if you spam the combo's you should be able to finish most fights with enough crowd favour to chop off an arm or leg, which counts towards the 25 kill cheevo also. once you hack off a body part you get the option to accept or decline a boost, best thing to do is opt to add all health boosts and maybe one/two attack boosts (depending on how many slots your fighter has) if you see a sexy lil boost you want after all slots are filled by all means add it if you think it will help but remember it will cost 2 gold and you shouldn't need to anyway. UNLESS you are having real trouble with a certain fighter, then the gold attack boosts that refer to certain opponents fighting style can help quite a bit.

4. once you level allows it, ONLY fight in the districts that give the most fame XP unless you are looking to guarentee the option to add a boost, but remember each boost is random so it could take a while to find the one you want.

And that, my pretty little friends, is that!

if you want to up vote me go ahead, if you want to down vote me go ahead. Just remember if you do the latter, let me know why in the comments and if you think there is anything I have missed send me a message and i will add it and credit you. After all you would have made it better. well done you...

NOW ONWARDS, TO GLOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYY

The easiest way to boost fame in this game is through the wager match.. You can boost with a buddie an get 1000 fame for winning an 500 for losing. As of the weekend since there was double xp we were getting 8x xp so we got 8000 xp for winning and 1600 for losing. Just do the wager match An when your partner's health is almost gone use a grab to take the rest an you'll end up with the full fame an your buddie doesn't have to worry about paying to revive him

Just to help out a little.

After the current update, on the fighting arenas at the bottom of the page you will see LT goals.

Hit LT and have a look at the goals you have done. Hit A to claim your reward. There are three stages, the first is mainly money, which you probably wont need, the second is money and 2000 fame and the third is money, 4000 fame and a banner item or gold.

I moved from 31 - 32 buy just buying different weapons for the gladiators and playing online matches.

Hope this helps the grind.

**EDIT**

New update allows you to gain daily challenges. Winning 15 matches any type will net you over 10,000 fame points. Others are for online wins and plays, wager matches wins and even resurrection of your gladiator. Keep coming back each day to do these and you will get the achievement very quickly.

Remeber just hit LT and A to claim your rewards.

Not really a solution, but a heads up. As you play this title now you are obviously trying to finish it. To speed things up you probably use the XP boosts. Most of the players and sessions want you to have the amount of silver to buy the boosts (15k silver according to the game) and as you have to pay for each match you might get short of silver. Now here's my hint: Don't mind! You're getting gold instead of fame for completed challenges (LT on the map) so if you ran out of silver you can buy the boost for 1 gold! But only if you don't have enough silver. You get gold for rank ups and for challenges, so you should have enough gold. This way you can rack up 99 XP boosts easily for 20 gold.

Good luck and good boosting.

So after grinding for this achievement for a couple of days, I have decided to clarify a couple of things. Also note that the above guides are pretty much spot on, so there is no need to repeat it.

First off about the gold glitch. I have been playing around with the glitch a little, and to be honest it really doesn't speed up the process at all. Actually it slows it down. The fastest I was able to do the glitch was 3:02 per glitch, with an average of around 3:15-3:30. From level 15 to level 29 (where i am now) you get 5 gold per level up. That means it takes 4 dashboards to purchase 1 double fame boost, which lasts for 5 fights. Stay with me here. So we are looking at somewhere between 13-14 minutes to receive the boost. 5 fights take around 10 minutes, as each fight with loading screens take about 2. So it would take 23-24 minutes for every 5k fame, using the glitch. Without the glitch 10 fights would equal 5k fame, which would only take 20 minutes. So every time you purchase the boost using the glitch you are losing 3-4 minutes. That adds up quickly through the level.

Secondly I'd like to add what I do for fame. I put my best fighter in the search for an online match, while grinding out with my other fighters. I really dont think it makes a difference. You do gain and extra 250 fame per fight, but sometimes you find a match in the middle of a match against the cpu, so it probably evens out. It just helps me drown out the monotony of pressing down xxx.

Please give me a thumbs up if you like it. If not let me know how to improve. Thanks and hope you are having as much fun grinding as i am.

Unobtainable due to server closure

You're looking at 3800 fights minimum for Level 50 Fame but its all based on winning and loosing. If you play online you do get more fame but if you're not good at consistently winning then you're better off just fighting the A.I. for 600 fame in the Spectacula. A decent estimate on how long it will take and how many matches you have to play is found here: LINK

Thanks to the latest update, there many more ways to get fame and online fame increase. Read the Road Map for more information.

Here is a link to a great farming method, credit to mcclane3 for this: LINK

To reach level 50 you need to play 3500+ battles.

Some statistics:
40 --> 41 = 150 battles
45 --> 46 = 200 battles
49 --> 50 - 15 hours
It will take you from 80 to 100 hours to get the achievement... I advise you to catch Double XP weekends.
