How to unlock the Applied Force achievement in Spec Ops: The Line - Definitive Guide

Use B to melee an enemy.
This is alot easier on Walk in the Park difficulty.
A good place to do this is on Chapter 4 after the hostage breaks free and he rappels down. If you follow him down you then get attacked by 3 soldiers, just melee them all then reload the checkpoint.
Note: You don't have to kill them after they fall down for it to count towards the achievement.

I personally had a problem with this achievement because everytime i seemed to get close to an enemy i would just get torn down by enemy fire. But i found a really easy way to unlock it.

During a firefight kill every enemy except for 1. Get close to him using cover manoeuvres and run up to him and hit B to knock him down. You now have to option to execute him. DON'T.

Just wait for him to get back up and press B to knock him down again, each knockdown counts towards this achievement.

This a simple case of using (B) to melee enemy soldiers 10 times. I got this at the beginning of chapter 6 as I hadn't thought about it until then but it's pretty easy to get it quickly. I did it on Suicide difficulty and didn't find it too hard.

For this achievement, you have to run up to any bad guy and press . It does not have to kill him; you simply have to just land the melee attack. It can be quite hard to do on the harder difficulties. If you don't get this achievement during your normal playthroughs, try to lower the difficulty and play Chapter 2, running up to enemies and using the melee attack.

There are multiple places to boost these kills. It can be boosted right at the start of Chapter 2, even on higher difficulties. Near the beginning, run down the ramp and 2 guys will be standing near the edge of the walkway. They won't turn around, so run up to them, press  to kill both of them. Now look right, there will be a 3rd enemy, so quickly run down to him and press  again. Now simply restart the checkpoint and repeat. It is also easy to boost right at the beginning of Chapter 6. Also, remember that an execution does not count towards this achievement. They must be standing and alive.

You melee enemies by pressing circle. You only need to hit 10 enemies, not kill them with melee executions for this trophy.

This is cumulative and will unlock while progressing the game if you remember to melee every now and then.

These stats are cumulative. All you have to do to unlock this trophy is to melee attack 10 enemies. To melee an enemy get close to them and press . This should come naturally throughout your playthroughs. Note the trophy description, you don’t have to kill an enemy with the melee attack, you only need hit them with it.

I’m not sure, maybe it was just my imagination, but they gave me an achievement simply for finishing off an enemy, half-shot, lying on the ground. He walked up to execute and gave the stripe. Before this, I don’t remember there being hand-to-hand combat more than 5 times. If this is true, then there is simply no point in getting into hand-to-hand combat.

To attack the enemy press , when he falls, we finish off in the same way by clicking on .Repeat until the trophy pops up
