How to unlock the Marksman - Sniper achievement in Spec Ops: The Line - Definitive Guide

load up chapter 5, after fighting in the lower area where the gym equipment is u will continue on and be told to take out some snipers, pick up the nearby sniper rifle and take out the snipers below, once u have done that u get a checkpoint, run down the steel girder below and kill enemies that turn up until u run out of bullets then just run out into the open and die, u will start back at the steel girder.

rinse/repeat until the achievement unlocks, it's best to do this on Easy.

These stats are cumulative. To unlock this trophy all you have to do is kill 50 enemies with any of the sniper rifles during the campaign. Spec Ops’ sniper rifles are listed below:

  • M-99
  • Scout Tactical

Any combinations of kills with any of the above listed weapons count towards the trophy. You do not have to get 50 kills with any single sniper rifle. These weapons are frequently placed throughout the game so you should have no problem finding one. This trophy should come naturally during your quest for the platinum trophy, as you will be playing through the campaign 2+ times.

Weapons that count:
Scout Tactical 
M-99 Sniper rifle

You will have a fair amount of opportunities to pick up the Scout Tactical sniper rifle throughout the game, although it will never really have much ammo. Just pick it up when you can, and try to get as many kills as possible with it.

If you want to get these out of the way as soon as possible, just keep replaying the checkpoint where you first come across a sniper rifle.
