How to unlock the Folt achievement in Spectral Force 3 - Definitive Guide
To recruit Folt (and Tina), you need to complete the mission "Pure Heart".
Mission requirements: Recruit Anita, Kiratt, Rato and Rimm.
Recruitment requirements: Tina, Folt, Anita, Kiratt, Rato and Rimm do not retreat.
Once you have unlocked the mission, complete it without any party members retreating. It is okay for Begina and/or Diaz to retreat, but you will probably not be able to complete the mission if they do. Tina (and Folt) will be present from the beginning, but will probably not be much help to you as they will not move until very late in the mission. This mission can be quite difficult because Tina and Folt start on the far side of the map from you and enemies are continually spawning in between you and them, many of which will make a beeline for the two hapless potential recruits. Get at least one or two party members over to them as quickly as possible to help them out, as they will not survive long on their own.
Both achievements will unlock after you have saved your game.
Thanks to LV 1 Blue Slime for the following strategy tips:
For this one, I suggest killing everything but two archers in the group near your party (Rimm has a spell that can cause blindness, use it if you can). Now run everyone over to Folt and Tina, then kill one of the archers in the group that spawned by you (another group should have went toward Folt and Tina, they should be fine with them). The big group will spawn.
Depending on when you are doing this mission, if your level is high enough (I think around 30) all your characters should have their level 3 specials, which tend to be high damage across a big range. If you do, unload them all to put a good dent in what spawns.
Sadly it won't change the fact that the game forces you to use four characters you've likely never used because fuck you, but that should help.

I do, but that's cool. It helps to improve them. I'll add this, too.

Man, hope you don't get a PM every time you get a comment on one of your solutions
