The League is by far, the longest game mode in the game. It consists of 4 divisions, 14 weeks a piece, meaning that you will need to play 56 games minimum. The League works like this; you start off in division 4, and the only way to progress to the next division is to be one of the top two teams in your division at the end of the season (14 weeks/games). If you are one of the bottom two teams in your division, then you will drop down a division. Each division the teams get progressively harder and once you are in division 1 you must be the top team at the end of the season to get the achievement.
The easiest way to do this, is to lose a season in division 4, focusing on collecting cash and upgrading your players. Each match just go around collecting the coins. You can only get $300 per game, once you have reached this the silver coins will stop appearing, and you will have to wait the rest of the game out. If you wish to fully upgrade your players (stats max out at 220), then you will need to throw the first two seasons, and they will be at max by the time you finish your third. I did this, and I easily breezed through the remaining divisions without losing a match.
When you are actually trying to win, your best bet would be to max out your multiplyer (2x) and then go for the stars. For each star you hit, you get 4 points (assuming your multiplyer is 2x) and once all five are lit you will get another 20, making a total of 40 points. Do this a couple times, and you will have the match won.
One last thing I should mention, is don't transfer any players till you get to division 1. There are only so many players available for transfer (9) and they get progressively better the longer you wait. Once you get to division 1, the players available for transfer will have stats better than your fully upgraded players.
