How to unlock the Master of Magecraft achievement in Spellbreak - Definitive Guide
The most recent update to Spellbreak has SIGNIFICANTLY decreased the XP required to level up. This will make reaching level 14 with each class far easier and less time-consuming.
The new leveling system goes like this:
Level 2: 600
Level 3: 1400
Level 4: 2450
Level 5: 3800
Level 6: 5500
Level 7: 3700
Level 8: 3710
Level 9: 3730
Level 10: 3770
Level 11: 3840
Level 12: 3950
Level 13: 4110
Level 14: 4330
Adding these numbers up, the total amount of XP needed to reach level 14 per character is 44,890. Multiply that by 6 and your total XP required for this achievement is 269,340. This number may seem daunting, but to put it into perspective, it used to take 274,100 to get to 14 on just ONE class before this update. So you now need only 1/6th of the total XP to unlock this achievement.
Additionally, the devs have updated how XP is earned, moving away from time alive and damage dealt being the sole earners. XP is now earned primarily through an in-game accolade system earned through various actions in matches, like getting exiles, leveling up your gauntlet, opening a mana vault, etc. This allows players to gain more XP than before, if you have a good game.
Overall, this achievement is way easier to obtain. so good luck out there!
Huge thanks to WolframX25 for the original guide to this achievement!

50 damage - 50 XP
100 damage - 225 XP
200 damage - 200 XP
300 damage - 175 XP
500 damage - 150 XP
700 damage - 125 XP
1000 damage - 100 XP
2000 damage - 75 XP
'Level up' (being in the zone when it gets smaller) is 275 XP, which you 100% get if playing legit. You also get that 3 times per match, so 825 XP literally for not being afk. You can easily get 1600 XP being somewhat decent per game. 2000 XP for a 2000 damage game and getting nearly every accolade. And honestly with all the afk-ers you see in Clash (I'm seeing the same names who idled Darwin Project haha) you will burn though these ranks. Great guide though, not sure why it has so many downvotes. This game is a walk in the park now, just the revives are glitchy as shit.

UPDATE : Use the other solution (JordanTheBigBoy) cause, this one is outdated and also upvote the other solution. I will leave this as a placeholder to anyone who wants to know how much xp it was required originally to get this achievement. They reduced the xp required by a lot so yeah , happy hunting and you got this
This was previously unobtainable but it got fixed in Spellbreak v1.1. This is a semi-guide (mostly informational) on how much xp you need to unlock an afterglow in the game for each class. I personally wrote down this xp list down below as I leveled up.
rank 2 - 600
rank 3 - 1500
rank 4 - 2800
rank 5 - 4600
rank 6 -7000
rank 7 - 10150
rank 8 -14250
rank 9 - 19450
rank 10 -25750
rank 11- 33150
rank 12-41650
rank 13-51250
rank 14-61950
total for 1 afterglow = 274100
For 6 afterglows = 274100 x 6 = 1644600
So when I got all the afterglows this was my match count
If you wanna know how long it takes for you to get afterglow take the total xp 274100 divide by the xp game you get on average. So lets say you get 1000 xp per game. You are looking about 275 games per afterglow. The best/fastest way to get xp is definitely surviving for 10 mins and exile/damage as much as you can.
Accolades does help but not as effective as surviving/fighting, don't go out of your way to get it. Just enjoy and try your best each match. As of now daily quests (3 objectives when you check your map) gives xp for your mage rank, it does not affect your class rank. Below are pictures of how xp can vary.
Surviving with little damage and no kills
High damage and kill games
Most efficient/fast xp
Recommendation:
I can't really give a best setup class/rune/combo to run because the meta for battle royales will always change. They will nerf/buff/introduce new combat aspects of the game. So my recommendation is that, as you play each class, learn what playstyles suits you the most. As a tempest I basically went into every fight as I can but as a frostborn I made sure I was passive and select my fights carefully.
Tips: If you are struggling on the BR aspect of the game. The devs have stated they will introduce new modes 9v9s etc. I am not entirely sure how xp will work then but hopefully it will make this game less grindy and a lot easier to obtain this achievement.
So thats about it. I hope this guide helps you plan on how you will be grinding this two very time consuming 140 TA ratio (as of september 2020) achievements and feel free to message/comment me. Happy hunting

@CrimsonBohemian its pretty cool, fun and tiring - I have speedrun achievement lists with a few friends of mine (lost a lot and won some) but I think the best feeling is when I can help people get a hard achievement. I feel a strong gratitude towards to some people on TA (Exosin, Fooga, SnipedByAGir1) that really help me out on grindy/hard achievements. So I just wanted to put my two cents and return the favor when I can.

Oh wow. This is going to be tough, but Spellbreak is actually fun so it shouldn't be too bad. Great guide and congrats on being the first completer!
