How to unlock the So It Begins achievement in Spelunky - Definitive Guide

This is pretty much a mandatory achievement.

As soon as you start playing the game, you'll be dropped into the tutorial. Simply clear all three stages of it and you'll unlock the achievement and the actual game.

Not difficult but you can die :)
Finish all three stages and the achievement will pop.

I made a video but you don't really need it !!

Simply beat the tutorial. It's three stages long.

Beware, though, that the tutorial does not really prepare you for what lies ahead! You should probably read the Spelunky wiki and watch some YouTube videos after playing the tutorial, to minimize your deaths and frustrations.

When you start your adventure for the first time, you will immediately begin the tutorial. Finishing the tutorial is required to continue with the game. Follow the directions to learn the basics of Spelunky's gameplay. Unlike the rest of the game, if you die on one of the tutorial stages you will respawn at the beginning of that stage. Once you have completed the 3 tutorial stages and watched the wall with the lock break apart to reveal a path, the achievement will unlock.
