How to unlock the A Dark Reward achievement in Spider-Man 3 - Definitive Guide

This is one of three achievements that will unlock after defeating Venom in the Grand Finale story mission, so it can't be missed. At the same time the black suit variation of Spider-Man will be unlocked as a playable character.

you could easily of said that this achievement will be unlocked at the end for unlocking the black costume

I've defeated venom, but this achievement didn't pop, do I need to do something else?

Apparently, this achievement may be glitched for some. I got it right after the battle was over with no problem. However, it's been brought to my attention that the battle may need to be fought while not connected to Xbox Live.
