Venom is weak to Sound and luckily punching some roped steel girders will weaken him and allow you to punch him to bits. What I did was jump up one floor from where the fight starts, create the soundwave, jump down, beat up and repeat.
The second fight after the New Goblin section plays the same except much shorter. After you do a quick, quick time event and Venom is down for the count.

Kind of a 3 part battle. The first and third part of the fight you fight Eddie Brock (Venom). To beat him you just hit the piles of pipes to stun him, then attack. You can do about 4-6 combo before you will have to do it again.
