If you don't have this by the end of the story (which I assume you don't since you're looking at a guide), then the way I did this was that I started swinging around a pole, so I just kept holding the stick in the right direction and the trigger down and he was constantly swinging in sort of a loop. It could take some time, but if you're curious about how close you are to the achievement then you can check how many miles you've been swinging in the stats screen.
