How to unlock the Master of Heck achievement in SpiderHeck - Definitive Guide

This is by far the hardest achievement in the game and because of the randomness of the game this is less of a level by level guide and more of tips tricks and general advice that applies to all challenges including wave survival I will be updating this guide as I test out everything I can so it is a work in progress.

GENERAL TIPS

This is more of a suggestion as it makes moving and shooting much easier but don't use the face buttons A B X Y instead use LB or LT to jump RB to grab and recall weapons and RT to shoot and dash attack, you don't need to go into options to change these either they are active by default.

If you die in any of the challenges but kill all the enemies at the same time it will still count as a win.

If you are launched off an edge and there's nothing to web to use your webs upwards constantly it will briefly stop you in midair giving you a chance to get to safety.

Learn to recall swords and grenades back into enemies, this is a great way to bypass enemy guards and with good timing you can detonate explosives from a safe distance while taking out groups of enemies and speaking of explosives all bombs except the nuke can be manually detonated after the bomb has activated by being shot or sliced by you or enemies meaning you can activate a bomb throw it at enemy blades for instant kills, bombs also instant kill shielded enemies on direct impact.

If you can't kill enemies directly use the death zone it will kill any enemy even shielded ones which very effective against the bees with long and double sided swords.
DO NOT spawnkill melee enemies that have shields with your sword this makes them bounce around like crazy and kill you before you can react instead if you know if the enemy has shield either shoot it or let it spawn if guns are not available.

MELEE TIPS

All the particle weapons have a dash attack that can be used by holding down RT but be careful as it shrinks your sword while charging, it's not a very good attack but works great as an evasive maneuverer especially against exploding enemies.

You can also charge a dash attack and throw the weapon instead to throw it faster but it doesn't always work right.

Not technically a melee weapon but you can use the sawblade launcher as a melee weapon it even deflects drone shots back but doing so will knock the weapon out of your hands.

If you're trying to knock enemies into the death zone always melee attack and then immediately throw your sword at the enemy this almost always works against the enemies with double swords which are very difficult to kill in melee only challenges.

If you hit the homing orbs from the beetle enemies with a particle weapon it will change to your color and home in on enemies rather than you but remember these attacks can still kill you.

GUN TIPS

This is a list of how much ammo each gun has without the ammo modifier

Revolver 5 shots dual revolver 4 shots
Both shotguns have 3 shots
The sword crossbow, grenade launcher and sawblade launcher have five shots
The homing orb staff has 3 shots
The sniper has 1 shot
The laser beam has 2 shots
The rocket launcher has 3 shots
The shotgun rocket launcher has 2 shots

Be mindful of the recoil of guns especially the dual revolvers laser beam and sniper as they will launch you off edges and definitely don't fire straight up while on a wall without a safe landing in mind.

Unlike particle weapons most guns will destroy homing orbs when shot use this when you're in tight spot though the homing orb staff sawblade launcher and sword crossbow will knock the orbs around and will NOT convert enemy orbs to attack enemies instead of you.

The blue revolvers can shoot through enemies letting you instant kill beetles and the round enemies that aren't drones including purple variants.

EXPLOSIVES TIPS

Both the grenade and nuke have the same timer 3 beeps and explode on fourth beep this helps to know when the bombs aren't on screen.

Shotguns will immediately detonate both sticky and normal grenades which is great for killing enemies around corners.

ENEMY TIPS

The enemies with the lightning storm can activate explosives with their spear but not the storm itself this also lets your swords go through the storm without it bouncing back.

MISCELLANEOUS TIPS

The laser beam and laser cube are excellent for killing shielded enemies as they hit repeatedly and restrict enemy movement just don't let go of an active laser beam as it will most likely kill you.

The sniper weapon is the only weapon that can shoot through walls but it won't kill shielded enemies in one shot.

LEVELS TO WATCH OUT FOR

All the high ground levels

In these challenges you only get particle weapons and the death zone slowly rises from the floor so the plan is to avoid letting the boxes you're standing on fall, the best strategy is to kill the enemies as fast as possible by knocking them into the death zone since it's always rising but if there's no where to go you can web to enemies in these challenges.

Very explosive

This is one of the last and in my opinion the most luck dependent level in the game, in this challenge you only get grenades and the bigger boom+ perk making your grenade explosions the size of nuke explosions, the strategy here is mostly just throw grenades and avoid killing yourself until wave 3 then before the enemies spawn get rid of as many grenades as you can because this wave is 4 exploding enemies with nuke sized explosions, wave 4 has 4 storm summoners that are pretty easy to kill compared to last wave but on wave 5 there are 5 double sword enemies this is almost impossible to beat head on but if you can kill them with grenades even if you get caught in the blast as long as they die first you win.
