After chapter 4 you need to tame the griffin.
First you need to go the goblin camp in the quarry and defeat all the goblins there. (20 goblins) as Mallory.
After that you have to find the griffin which resides in an alcove above the quarry. To reach this you've to travel as Simon through the deep woods. I used the teleport tree in the small meadow near the tunnels where you were chased by the lizard.
When you teleport you end up in the deep woods and have to find your way to the second teleport tree. First walk around a sod so you can get out of the opening. He lowers the grass as usual. Then head towards the exit and keep on walking untill you reach a big opening with a sort of lake and tree on an island in the middle. Don't go back to the main road. When you reach an exit which says: "Travel to main road" you've gone the wrong way. Reach the tree in the opening and you'll find yourself being teleported to the alcove above the quarry. To tame the griffin you need to feed it 5 fire salamanders. After that a cut-scene follows and the achievement unlockes.
