How to unlock the Challenger achievement in Spirit Hunters: Infinite Horde - Definitive Guide
These are all the same complete 1, 5, 10, 20, and 30 build challenges. Just finish X amount of different challenges for the achievement to unlock.
Please note also that there are difficulty challenges as well. Looks like the top 5 on the left side of the ledger are mostly normal a couple characters have 1 or 2 hard on the top row and the bottom row are the harder ones. Doing as many as possible on normal will make this much easier, but you will have to complete some challenges on hard to complete the Divinity Web. The web tells you which characters you have to do hard challenges with to continue with upgrading the Web. So be ready to face some hard challenges.
Here is how i did the first challenge. Just do this for other challenges and complete the total needed. They have to be different challenges you cannot repeat the same one to count.
If you go to the ledger and click on a character on the left side then click on a level on the right side like Desert Ruins it will show the challenge. if you have all the weapons and pets required to do the challenge then you will see the word START available to start it.
I did my first challenge with Magnus. Go into the ledger and click magnus then click the first level Desert Ruins and as long as you have the required abilities unlocked it wiol say start uner the abilities. Just hit start and be read.
Start the challenge and it will put you in the Desert Ruins - Normal level and the object here is to make sure you put 20 levels into the Tangled Vines and Orbital Fire without using the Cleave, Ice Ring, and Magic Mine. So you already have the Vines and Fire unlocked just select 2 other abilities to use. I used Arrows and Spears for example. Just make sure you put 20 levels in any of the Tangled Vines and Orbital Fire abilities and last 15 minutes and beat the Horned Beetle. You can couple this with beating the horned beetle achievement if you haven't beaten it already. I did this with the dark cove challenge with magnus beating the challenge and boss i got the boss achievement for example cause it was my first time doing the level. Be careful though as getting 40 levels between fire and vines wont leave many levels for anything else early on as you will prolly only be getting to around level 50 or 55 total or maybe less. I got to the end of dark cove needing 1 more bone level and luckily the little enemies the boss spawns dropped more souls so i was able to get that final level up. One other tip also is to be careful where you are when the 15 minutes is up. Some levels have obstacles that can make the boss fight harder because your already surrounded by a circle when your fighting the boss so try to be in a more open area cause smaller enemies will come while fighting the bosses. Sometimes a few obstacles might make the boss fight a little easier. The boss will travel through obstacles, but smaller enemies wont so you might be able to trap the smaller ones behind walls or trees.
I like to use Arrows (some challenges will X out the arrows though so you will need to find other strategies) as they are pretty OP if you can get the cooldown level to 5 then get the size and damage up a few levels, but not much cause you gotta make sure you get the 20 vine and 20 fire levels. The arrows fire the way your facing so if its strong and bigger then you can follow it the way it fires through the enemies similar to the knives in vampire survivors. Players will find combinations they like to use though. A good mix of ranged, aoe (area of effect), and damage over time abilities is good to have.
TIPS: You can also re-roll each level ups abilities to upgrade for 50 coins so if you dont get a needed weapon to upgrade you can try to re-roll for the one you need.
Also note that some of the challenges require you to upgrade pets also. You can do that by finding the little cages on the maps and fighting by them unti they unlock and then picking the pet you need upgraded or you can sometimes find the pet you need in the shops located throughout the maps. The pet you need might not be available everytime so try to get them upgraded asap. When opening the cages if there is a pet needed for the challenge it will show a x/3 for example above the pet if its a needed pet to upgrade.
Please note also that each ability can only have 25 total levels between the different upgrades. For Example the Arrow (my fav) can have 5 cooldown, 5 critical chance, 10 size and 5 damage increase. Once you hit 25 it wont level anymore. So choose wisely especially during the challenges.
Remember also that in this game most basic enemies are on set routes and they will not chase you. Some of the bigger enemies and bosses will chase after you and some fire projectiles that will go your specific direction so just be on the lookout as to which ones do chase you and which ones just follow a set route. Also, there is a lot of obstacles in the levels where enemies can get stuck or bottle necked and you can pile them up and trap them to get extra kills and xp. Make sure you take advantage of that. (i will post this in each combat type achievement and in the abbreviated walkthrough in case a player is not reading the whole guide and is maybe only looking for help with a specific achievement.)
