How to unlock the Now that was Brutal achievement in Spirit Hunters: Infinite Horde - Definitive Guide
Same as the hard mode achievement here. You need to unlock and beat each of the 9 maps on Brutal Difficulty. To unlock brutal difficulty you need to get to each map on the Divinity Web unlocked then there's 2 nodes next to each map. One for hard and one for brutal. You have to beat the previous difficulty to be able to buy the next difficulty. Hard is 500 runes for the first 8 levels and 750 for lunar caverns hard mode. The brutal nodes require Shadow Souls ranging from 20 to 75. You need around 300 total Shadow Souls to unlock all the Brutal difficulty map variants.
Same things apply here. You get a 15% speed buff, Enemies start with 300% more health, Do 150% more damage and have a 40% speed increase. Just use your best abilities and make it to the boss. Each level will have a new Dark Enemy. Theres really small ones, a medium, and a larger one that shoots projectiles. These new larger Dark enemies have a lot of health so use your strongest abilities. The other enemies patterns are pretty much the same as before they are just tougher. The bosses are all Dark versions and have more health and do more damage so be careful where you fight them. Make sure you have open area when the 15 minutes hit. Bosses can go through obstacles so having stuff in the circle might hurt you. It could help with the smaller enemies that spawn but i wouldn't test it. Just finish all 9 maps for your achievement. Honestly i found the dark bosses were not really that bad.
I will let you know cause it happened to me. If you take too long to kill the boss it will summon more mini bosses that will come out and make it more difficult and most likely kill you. This happened to me with the Viper Village Map boss. He has like 60k hp and i wasn't doing enough damage, so i went back in with all offensive and had no issue killing him.
