Other than the default improvements, you will get an extra one later. Summer will feel cold and go to sleep forever. You will have to go back to the shipwright to get the HVAC blueprint.

Did not unlock for me even though I got all 3 upgrades built-in and HVAC installed.
I haven't sent Summer through the Everdoor yet, I'm on her final quest.
Definitely bugged on me and I won't go through a second playthrough just for that..
