How to unlock the Too much Horror business achievement in SPLATTERHOUSE - Definitive Guide

You really only have to accomplish 5 things here.

- Do 20 splatterkills
- Kill 25 enemies with any body parts
- Step on 50 boreworms
- Kill 50 enemies in Berserk mode
- Take no damage for 2 minutes

Only a few tips for this one. It pretty easy and straight forward.

- Play the first survival level. Its the easiest.
- The first wave has 3 simple enemies. Run around in circles avoiding them for 2 mins. or so. Just keep pressing RT to dash if they get close because they will sometimes jump at you.

The following below, you can do in any order but I found this the easiest way.

- Do the body part one next. The easiest way to do this is to just push B+B to tear off an arm. Once you have it, walk up to an enemy and press B+B to grab and kill him with arm. Keep doing this until you get to 25. This is the best way. Dont just hit them with the arm because it will wear it out faster and its not instant kill like the B+B method.
- For the splatterkill one, make sure you do not "overkill" an enemy. This mean when they are outlined in red, dont just keep punching. You will either kill them and miss your chance. This level is so easy you can just punch them slowly until you get the red outline on them. Do this 20 times.
- Berserk mode will require a little work because your meter will run out each time you use this mode. Just remember to go into this mode when enemies are bunched together. Kill them and then if there are no more enemies, press LB to return to normal. To get your meter back up faster, pick up a weapon and hit them with it. The shot gun will give you full meter after one or two hits. Don't punch them to regenerate your meter, its slow and ineffective.
- Boreworms are in the chest. You know what to do. Make sure you step on them. Just smashing the chests is not enough.

I have done the first mission with 9/10 twice, both times without getting the 2 minute mark, but I know for sure I sent without damage for roughly 2.5 minutes at least..
I've been able to get the 2 minute mark on some of the other levels, but it seems like the first level might be glitched.. What do you think?

I can't say I saw the 2 min achievement pop. I ran around for another few minutes after the 1 minute indicator came on screen. However, I did as the guide said and the achievement popped after completing the final wave.

For some reason it doesnt want to give me the 2 minute mission. Ive run around up to 5 minutes but it only ever pops up for the 1 minute one.

I got it in the 2nd arena, but I wasnt actually doing any of the others. Maybe you have to hit someone. For me, the 1 minute one didnt show up until I hit an enemy a few seconds after the minute.

I'm fairly certain the time without being hit doesn't count unless you hit someone. A way I found to get it to work, was to do what this guide says, but punch an enemy every 30 seconds, then start running. This made both my one minute without damage, and my 2 minutes without damage show up pretty much right when they should have.

Your technique is spot on for getting these. I have come across a problem you may know the answer too. I have been through the 1st Arena Level twice. the 1st time at the end it said I found 6/10 Secret missions. But didn't get the achievement for getting 5 in 1 run through. So my 2nd run through I tried to go straight for all 10. I know I got 9 and thought I was just a few berserker kills short of 50. However the stats told me I had 10/10. However still no achievement for 5 or 10 in one run through. Is there something I might be doing wrong?

Don't worry if the timed mission doesn't pop up. As long as you've done it, it will still register. The fact that it doesn't always appear when it should is just a simple bug and has been proven as nothing to stress over :)

Here's a list of the 10 secret missions that I made with a little help from some guys on 360achievements.org:

- Kill 10 enemies with any body parts
- Kill 25 enemies with any body parts
- Kill 25 enemies in Berserk mode
- Kill 50 enemies in Berserk mode
- Take no damage for 1 minute
- Take no damage for 2 minutes
- Stomp on 20 boreworms
- Stomp on 50 boreworms
- Successfully perform 5 splatterkills
- Successfully perform 20 splatterkills

Thanks for the solution. Just wanted to say that:
1 - this is easier, it seems, on the second level, the Slaughterhouse. Less of the blue enemies, which are some of the most dangerous, as they can tear off your arm and leave you bleeding (which is how I died once).
2 - I did the missions in the following order:
No Damage
Body Parts
Berserk
Splatterkills

Due to having to sometimes finish off enemies to recharge the Berserk mode, I ended up wasting some enemies, so I only got the achievement on the final wave, farming splatterkills on the butcherers. If you can, avoid doing this and try to get splatterkills to recharge your Berserk. Weapons are great to weaken big enemies without killing them.

There are 10 secret missions altogether and like the description says you must do them all in one attempt at Survival Arena.

  • Stomp 20 Boreworms
  • Stomp 50 Boreworms
  • Kill 10 enemies with body parts
  • Kill 25 enemies with body parts
  • Kill 25 enemies in Berserker Mode
  • Kill 50 enemies in Berserker Mode
  • Go 1 minute without taking damage
  • Go 2 minutes without taking damage
  • Get 5 Splatterkills
  • Get 20 Splatterkills

The trophy will unlock after the 10th secret mission is completed, regardless of whether or not you finished the arena. Take your time, taking note of which secret mission you are working towards; there is no time limit. Every time you finish a secret mission, the game will let you know on the screen. Arena 1 or 3 is recommended, due to the abundant amount of enemies, not to mention the arena is overall easy.

Translation of the strategy from MonsterToaster from a foreign site:
“Choose the Death Coaster arena. During the first wave, kill all enemies with splatterkills, but leave one alive. Let him run after you, but don’t let him hit you for 2 minutes. Thus, you will receive secret missions for No damage for 60 and, accordingly, 120 seconds” - (I will add on my own behalf - after 120 seconds you need to strike the enemy for it to count). – “While you are running from the enemy, break all the boxes, there will be Boreworms. Don't rush to kill the enemy! Every minute or two boxes will fall into the arena, continue breaking them and crushing worms until you get 25 and 50 crushed worms. There are already 4 secret missions in your pocket, and yet we are still on wave 1! What luck! For the next two waves, continue killing with finishing moves (Splatterkills) until you get marks for 5 and 20 kills. Next couple of waves start tearing off limbs (combination + ) and get 10 and 25 kills (Kill 10/25 Enemies With Flesh Weapons). And now we have 8 out of 10 secret missions ready. Finally, by this time you should have a full blood streak. As soon as small enemies appear, enter Berserk mode and rack up kills. Try to kill only small mobs, leaving large ones to replenish your blood. You can also collect boxes of worms to replenish (as you did in the first wave). You need to get 25 and 50 kills (Kill 25/50 Enemies In Berserk Mode).”

Attention: you must fulfill all 10 conditions at once in one arena, since the trophy is not cumulative and after completing the arena the mission counter is reset to zero.
