The easiest mode for headshots is a mode called "Swat" it guarantees that every headshot you land is a one shot kill and gives you both a carbine rifle (Semi-automatic) and a Burst rifle (3-round burst) as your main weaponry.
I obviously recommend this mode. Use the burst rifle if you aren't as confident in your aim and aim towards their upper chest, the recoil should get the last shot in the burst to land around their head and instant kill them. If you are more confident in your aim the Carbine is far more reliable as it has a smaller reticle and less recoil.
If you decide to use or play other modes a headshot kill is denoted by killing a player with the final shot hitting them in the head.
