NEW EDIT!!!

The Guide isn't going through on Hardcore mode, BUT you can simply see his mistakes and see how to get past all the levels. Sorry for the previous guide being pulled, but cannot help the fact is was someone else's videos he didn't want to have on his channel any more. So i have found another guide where a gentlemen is going through the levels.

Definitely a hard achievement, but very obtainable if you're determined.

no you do not have to get the cakes, this video walkthrough shows you the cakes aswell but are not needed to be collected in hardcore mode.

Just bought this game from DoTW, haven't played it yet, but what does 'Hardcore mode' mean?

What do you actually need to do for this achievement.

If you could answer me in a PM rather than another comment I would appreciate it as I am more likely to see a PM before I come back to your guide. (which I'm sure I'll do when I'm going for the achievement)

Somes levels have made me red like hell but it's not so difficult, just be determined.
Great videos however.

Having all these videos embedded makes the page slow to load from my laptop. Maybe it would be better to just post links for each of the videos so people can just load up the ones they need.

I have to a laugh a little when people are trying to get cakes in HC mode since some of them are out of the way. You have to beat the game first to unlock HC, so take that time to get them all before starting HC. NaWaK6201's post described HC perfectly; you just have to be determined and memorized the levels.

Hardcore mode is not SOOO difficult. It's all a matter of analyzing the scene well before performing certain actions.

Just got it! One hell of an annoying play through. The laser levels are the most annoying and the fact that level 3-17 is quite long so you have to do all of the first parts just to get to the area you keep dying :@

I think the reason for some of the negatives (I don't know why people are dicks like this) is because it says you don't have the achievement. I guess if people see that the person with the solution DOESN'T have the achievement yet, it's automatically worth voting down. =/ sucks how some people act like that.

I think the reason some people downvoted is that a couple of the videos "have been removed by the user".

One good tip is that playing through Ms. Splosion Man really improves your skills. Each CHECKPOINT in Ms. Splosion Man is like a hardcore level from the original Splosion Man. It's seriously ridiculous. Ms. Splosion Man is an incredible game but it has really really lengthy levels.

I just recently finished Ms splosion man and now going back to splosion man! I had done everything in splosion man and had only hardcore run left where I left of on level 1-12- And oh boy every level so far is so easy. On level 2-4 now and everything has been smooth sailing. Ms splosion man really improves your skill, just like OdadjianActual above me said. If you own both game I would recommend doing Ms splosion man first.

There is a certain level of head scratching when someone posts a solution but doesnt have the achievement. Ive come to learn it helps people out so why should I care if you have the achivement, right?

Mattias, have you given up? Last person to win this achievement was in December 2017. While I'm not to the nitty griddy of this game yet, im really enjoying the single player and my 10 year old is better at ths than me redface. He's figured out more of the puzzles than I laugh.

Thanks for this (if your still around). Ill definetly use this when it comes to hardcore. My game pass runs out in August, so I dont have the luxury of finishing Ms. Splosion man before this and my 10 year old goes back to his mothers next week so we need to kick ass!

This is a simple, if extremely difficult, achievement. Each level must be completed without dying once during the level, and every hostile thing that touches you will kill you in a single hit. The bosses are all the same as in Normal mode, and be ready to watch the few short cutscenes in the game a few dozen times as you are forced to replay any levels you die on, which includes watching any cutscenes. The cakes are not necessary to get this particular achievement, and in fact, I would not recommend that you go for the cakes on Hardcore, as the difficulty will increase exponentially. Prepare to have a huge amount of patience, be ready to replay specific levels fifty or more times, and promise yourself beforehand that you won't throw your controller, machine, or TV, because you are going to want to.

This was *exactly* how I felt doing the regular single player, which is why I'm not even going to attempt hardcore mode. One of the most frustratingly difficult games on the arcade.

It's actually not much worse than single player (okay, a *couple* of levels are worse), because: 1) you aren't going for the cakes (hopefully you got them in regular mode), and 2) you've had TONS of practice by the time you replay in hardcore so your skills are way good. I'd recommend you stick it out and do it!

Started Hardcore last night...and I can tell I have gotten 50x better at this game. Playing through the 1st couple levels for the second time, I can beat them all in 2 minutes on maybe 4-5 tries. I know this won't continue on through 3-XX but it does show promise that 1-XX will be a piece of cake (pun intended). I would call myself an "Average" player...

I do regret going back and replaying levels to try and give myself a better time stamp in Normal mode...because in hardcore mode EVERY time that I set is a spectacular one (since the timer starts fresh)

The only thing I thought was harder was the flying laser things. Because they will sometimes be sitting of screen and you won't see them until you are already dead. Any board with those on it I ended up having to replay a bunch, but almost all the others weren't that bad.

This is a great achievement. Just need to have the will and patience to pull it off. To me, the Marathon achievement from Trials HD is harder. I agree about the levels with the flying laser robots being harder than the rest since it seems they move randomly and if you wait around too long, you'll get hit.

The differences between this difficulty and the regular difficulty are that every enemy that you encounter will be able to kill you and whenever you die you will have to start back at the beginning of the mission.

I suggest that you do NOT rush this for when you try and go quickly you make mistakes. Move slow when you can and be sure to use the to see further around the screen. For example you should use the to look around for turrets. With time and perseverance you should unlock this achievement in no time.
