How to unlock the Chess Champ achievement in Spyglass Board Games - Definitive Guide
As the achievement states you just need to win in 10 chess games online. This can be done in ranked or player matches and does not need to be in a row.
Due to the amount (or I should mean lack) of people playing this game I would highly recommend boosting.
If your boosting you can also get the other Chess achievements and other game type achievements as well.
If you can't find someone to boost with and you are going to play normal and are having issues try this:
[SCHOLAR'S MATE]
Scholar's Mate is a move in chess when the white side can checkmate you in four moves. It is very easy to do and very easy to counter.
To complete this move you must be on the White side and do these moves:
<> Move your pawn from e2 to e3.
<> On your next turn move your bishop from f1 to c4.
<> On your next turn move your queen from d1 to f3.
<> On your fourth and last move now move your queen from f3 to f7.
This will cause a checkmate in four moves. However as a chess player you must beable to see
this move coming and counter it. Please note that while playing in Single Player mode the
computer will counter this move every time.
Some people move the queen too far up to h5. This allows a pawn to block you very easily.
[HOW TO COUNTER A SCHOLAR'S MATE]
Here is how the black side can counter a Scholar's Mate (anyone of these will do):
<> Move your pawn at f7 to either f6 or f5 (f5 is better IMO).
<> Move your knight from g8 to f6.
<> Move your pawn from d7 to d5.
If you are still having problems you can go to the aid of a java program so it decides what moves to make for you. Check the URL for more information:

===Being Efficient===
This achievement will also unlock "Play 5" if you don't already have it.
If played correctly it will also unlock "Overkill" (see the achievement guide for more information).
It will also help your progress in "Winner Of Games" and "Player of Games".
A thanks goes to x DeadIyFishy x for catching a mistype on my guide!

An easy method that can be done in TWO moves is to use the Fool's Mate strategy. It doesn't matter what team wins, it's just that the queen must be in the opposing person's king's way. Here is a demonstration of doing the video:
Win 10 Chess games online. This can be done in player matches.
Pretty straightforward achievement. Setup a chess match (Ranked or Player) with someone else and win 10 games. As Fafhrdd's guide mentions, the wins don't need to be in a row.
