Solution for the glitch

This achievement is glitchy: if someone drops from your 5th game, your achievement will not register, but the game will still count as a game played. Your next game will then be your 6th, and you'll never be able to get the achievement, no matter how many additional games you play.

BUT!

People that got this glitch should refer to the solution posted by Protium on the game "Sniper: Ghost Warrior", for the achievement "Fallen Eagle". It worked for me.

The Fallen Eagle achievement in Sniper: Ghost Warrior worth 36 pointsKill 10 birds.

All you have to do is 1) put your account on a memory card, 2) remove the card when the game loads (game publisher logos), 3) wait until you are in the menu (multiplayer), and put back your memory card, and 4) play 5 straight games with a boosting partner.

By removing your memory card (or USB stick), the game doesn't find your stats, hence it resets your games played to 0. You then start at 0 and climb up to 5 games played without exiting to the dashboard.

You should do this achievement last, because resetting your stats also means resetting all other progression towards other achievements.

From comments : Auto sign-in must be set to ON. See console settings.

I kept starting game up, removing USB, pressed A to enter the main menu, entered multiplayer, it then asked me to sign in, then I put my USB back in and signed in, but it throws me back into the main menu. From here, I go onto multiplayer again, it then gives me some almighty lag (like it's finding my stats), I then created a private match and invited my brother where we played 5 sometimes 6 games of chess. Is this what happened to you or do I need to do anything differently?

This completely worked, I've been waiting 4 years to complete this game. I followed the directions exactly, invited a friend into a private game of chess, beat him 5 times in a row and the achievement unlocked.

I am having same issue as wornoutsmiles. Sometimes it kicks me to main menu others not... I have done this over and over for 5hrs. Do you sign back in after it says it will not autosave or do you click on multiplayer then sign back in?

From solution : "wait until you are in the menu (multiplayer), and put back your memory card". You have to be in the multiplayer menu before you put your usb or memory card back for sign-in. I don't know why some people have problems with it. For me it worked 1st time.

Maybe some settings affect it, like auto sign-in (ON for me), or a new update ??

Tried again today when I get to the Multiplayer screen it asks me to sign back in... So I do so after it signs me in I am back to the single player, multiplayer screen. I have also tried 2 different Usb stick can't try with memory card as my profile is to large for it. I have followed this to a T and no luck... this is frustrating.

I got it to work finally! What I did was used an org 360 memory card worked on my second try... It seems to me that when using a usb stick it takes to long for your profile to load back up and the game catches it. I used 2 different usb sticks a 360 8gb and a 4gig sandisk. I finally got this to work last night. I was still having the problem where it kicked me back into the Main Menu after trying to enter Multiplayer. Frustrated, I tried disconnecting my USB stick later. I entered the Multiplayer Menu THEN disconnected it. I then quickly created a private game of chess before reinserting my USB stick. Then with it connected, I invited a friend where we played 5 games and it unlocked. Thanks for posting this guide :-)

this still works as of 21/07/2014
I was having trouble every time because it would disconnect me from live and say buy full game so I put my auto sign in on and followed the steps again and this time is did not bounce me back to the game start up screen.
If your having trouble make sure your auto sign in is on.

For those that cannot get the achievement even after trying all the comments. Here's what I had to do:

1. Remove the USB when the publisher logo is up. (There is a monkey and a person on screen.)
It did not sign me out. When the game started it only said something about "Unable to save." and the Xbox notification popped up telling me "Please reinsert USB." Don't do it yet.
2. Go in to Multiplayer and create a private match.
3. Invite your friend. (USB should still not be in the game.)
Somehow my friend was able to join me when my USB was out.
4. Once they join, plug in the USB and immediately start your game. Do not wait for your gamerscore and Gamerpic to load.
5. Play five games.
6. Profit.

Ok. So, I have some glitched achievements in Bankshot Billiards 2

This is because I originally just had a local account, and was playing on that for a couple years until I got live enabled. For some reason, all of my achievements synced up with XBL except for the ones for that game. (As you can see I have the achievements for playing 25 and 50 but not 5 games). So...

I think the same thing is happening here, where the game thinks I've unlocked the achievement but XBL doesn't, so it wont pop.

I'm probably going to try this (I'm glitched on this achievement too, but I'll get back to doing it with this one once I decide to complete it.), but am not sure if it would work. Do you think it would?

Originally, this method was used to unlock The Fallen Eagle achievement in Sniper: Ghost Warrior. So it could work with Bankshot Billiards 2... You should try it and report here if it works! I can't try it because I don't have that game.

Just play 5 online games. This can be done in either Ranked or player. And while you are at it. You can get Game Swap.

Edit - According to some people, If someone quits or drops out in your 5th match you wont be able to get this achievement but other people says it seems to be fixed so just thought I'd let you know.

It is important to note that there is a bug that can prevent receiving this achievement. If your opponent during that 5th online game drops, then you don't get the achievement. You can't get it during any future games, either. I don't believe there's any known method to work around this bug if you're hit by it.

GibGirl is correct and there are still no known fits for this game. there is a FIX on the way however it's still not here. I would HIGHLY suggest it be placed in the guide. For more information:

This game has a possible bug with one of the achievements for online play. According to one of the programmers the bug has to do with obtaining the "Play 5" achievement and only happens if you get kicked off/quit early during your fifth online game.

Affected Achievement: Play 5.
Worth: 5 points.

The achievement only is bugged if you or your opponent quits early on your fifth online game. Currently there is a plan to fix this bug however since the bug is not a critical bug it may be in the works for quite sometime. The issue has been known and a fix has been in the works since May 2008, I however received an update from the programmer assigned this issue on August 2008 to this tone "I've not had any spare time recently to do work on the update (the fix for the achievement is in, but a couple of others need doing and it needs a lot of testing, which requires a *lot* of free time). All that's before it has to go through the official release paths and they depend on what projects are regarded as most critical (with the festive release season coming up, it's likely to be regarded as somewhat non critical)."

It looks as if the achievement has been fixed however it now must be tested and approved through the proper paths. So a fix could be coming soon or be several more months away.

You can still get the achievement if you are not dropped/quit early from your fifth online game so it is greatly recommended to play with someone you know on your fifth game! To learn more and see the postings go here:

errr... There was a correction issued by the programmer. The fix did not really fix the issue, so there is now no fix in sight!

I f%&king hate glitched achievements.Especially small ones like this that are gonna keep me from completing the game. I'll delete my save files and recover my gamertag, see if that pops it for me. I'll update you and let you know.

I recovered my account and got this while boosting the others tonight!!! Don't know if it will work for everyone, but it worked for me. Good luck to anyone who's had this glitch on them.

Glitched for me and i was boosting it with the wife's tag and neither of us quit or disconnected and it still glitched. I tried re-downloading game and i have recovered my tag twice with no luck. I know its wishful thinking to think they are going to patch it but i know it isn't going to happen. Congrats to those who get it!

i heard that sometimes playing it on a diffrent console it unlocks glitched achievmeents that are possible to get, like this one

Play 5 games online. It can be any games but it is easy to get this one while you are getting "Game Swap" achievement. Just play another game afterwards.
