How to unlock the S2 | Duck and Cover achievement in Spyro Reignited Trilogy - Definitive Guide
Edit - TwinTalisman says that killing yourself (by jumping into the water) restarts the whole challenge and resets this achievement. So no need to quit out and do it all over.

Start by clearing out every enemy in the level so the path is safe. This'll also give you enough spirits to unlock the super flame powerup in the gazebo, next to the end portal. Talk to the character next to the portal who will activate the challenge.
It consists of three stages where you have to activate the super flame and shoot at Bombo, who'll be holding the flags you raised through the level. The first time he's at the last flag you raised, the second time the second one, and the last time he'll be at the first flag you raised at the start of the level. He'll come down, talk to you, and then start a sequence where you have to follow him to the gazebo while he throws bombs at you.
The safe method is to take it slowly. There's no time limit, and he never moves backwards. Get close enough for him to throw a bomb and move back while he moves forwards each time. When you get to a certain point he'll throw the flag into the gazebo and move to the next flag.

After you’ve raised all the flags so that you can then access the main palace, head up and speak to Handel to start a challenge which requires you to shoot down Bombo the Flagkeeper from the previous flag poles. Go through Superflame Gate and head back across the bridge to the previous area. Aim and look up to the flag pole in this section and Bombo will be on top of it; so shoot him down. Once he lands, head over and talk to him and he’ll challenge you to chase him so that you can get the flag back.
There is a tactic to this and it's as simply as not constantly chasing after him. Do not Charge, but simply walk/run at him until he throws his fireballs. Once he does, just either step to one side and out of the way or you can just as easily run back on yourself. There is no timer to this challenge or fail scene if you lose him.
Every 1-3 fireballs, as you chase him, he'll have specific stopping points where he'll just do nothing and wait for you. As you get closer, he'll go to the next one and during that he'll throw the fireballs at you. Just take your time and this will be a lot easier than full-on chasing him.
