Survive Whiteout Deadly Descent without equipping pulse goggles (in World Tour)

How to unlock the Caution Low Visibility achievement in SSX - Definitive Guide

At the end of the Tour, you will end up in New Zealand. The last event in this region, is called the "Aoraki" and they recommend you use a pulse goggles for the event, because of the heavy snow.

Choose this event, and make sure you are NOT wearing pulse goggles. You should have a very low survival probability (4%).

Just take your time down the hill, and follow Griff and his trail as much as you can. Keep in mind, he does make mistakes! On large jumps you must boost to clear any large gaps. You should follow the flares, go slowly and avoid jumping if not necessary. Two flares next to each other signify a ramp needed to clear a gap. Also, you are allowed 3 total rewinds, if you ever take a nasty spill, and they will not prevent you from attaining the achievement.

Note: You do not need to beat Griff to unlock this achievement.

You can also equip a suit with extra rewinds. It came in handy.

Good guide, thanks. Made somewhat easier, I suspect by levelling up to 15 and using an epic wingsuit, along with a wingsuit mod and a rewind mod :-)

Thanks Maka! I actually found this one to be easier than others. There's huge jumps to build boost, and all the large gaps are clearly marked./ Plus the announcer's warnings are very easy to hear on this one (unlike on other tracks). The "Survive Cold Deadly Descent" is terrible. I avoided that one after trying for a while.

Complete Deadly Descent: Whiteout in New Zealand, Aoraki - Route Zero without equipping pulse goggles. If you have not previously completed this event you will be racing as Ty. I would not recommend using the wingsuit unless you are intimately familiar with the course. This will also be your first time competing against Griff in a descent, over three runs for me he finished 2:56:50, 3:02:91 and 3:02:90, he may do better or worse(I have seen him fall into crevasses and need to rewind out), but aim for under three minutes if you would like to beat him. The obstacle of this descent is the fact that the blizzard does not allow you to see much further than about 40 to 45 meters in front of you. Lit flares occasionally light the path and may allow guide you, and if you are behind Griff, his ethereal trail may also be used as a guide, but as previously stated, he has been known to fall into crevasses. Surviving the run and not using Pulse Goggles are requirements for this trophy to pop. You do not have to beat Griff.
