How to unlock the I Need A Boost achievement in SSX - Definitive Guide

You can only purchase Mods in Explore Mode.

Load up any race in Explore mode, and before the race choose to equip your rider. Go to the Mod slot, and buy any Mod for the event. There will be a few for quiet cheap.

After the purchase, the achievement will unlock in the menu.

Just a heads up that you have to make some progress before you are granted the ability to use GeoCaches and Mods. I was given it by Level 4.

Go to Explore Mode on the main menu and select any track. When you get to select your character and load-out, purchase a mod and this trophy will pop. If you don't have enough money to buy the mod then play the campaign mode a little bit.
