Ice To See You

Ice To See You

Survive Ice Deadly Descent without equipping ice axes (in World Tour)

How to unlock the Ice To See You achievement in SSX - Definitive Guide

Early on during the Tour, you will be in Siberia. The last event in this region, is called the "Punch Up" and they recommend you use ice axes for the event, because of the amount of ice.

Choose this event, and make sure you are NOT do not equip ice axes. You should have a very low survival probability (4%).

Just take your time down the hill. Easy does it on this one. I also recommend to grind as much as possible, but also try to switch sides as little possible. If you go left, stay left. If you find yourself going too fast, hold back on the left analog stick to slow your rider. Also, you are allowed 3 total rewinds, if you ever take a nasty spill, and they will not prevent you from attaining the achievement. Also, make sure to learn that boosting will help you make tighter turns if you need it.

Take your time on this track, and boost before any large jumps!

Note: You can use a wingsuit if you like to help you.

Here is a video of what I did to get this achievement. This is the last event in Siberia called "Punch Up". Make sure not to use the ice axes before you start this run. Take your time down this Descent and try to stay on one side as much as possible while going down. Remember that the Rewind is your best friend, you have 3 so use them wisely.
**You can also come back and use your wingsuit on this level, this was my first playthrough so I didnt have the wingsuit unlocked yet.**
I hope my video helps ;).

For Deadly Descent: Ice you have to complete Mount Belukha East - Punch Up in Siberia in World Tour mode without using Ice Axes as your gear. If you have not previously completed this event then you will be racing as Alex.
The ice makes turning and stopping much harder. Boosting while turning helps a little though it's a bit hard to time and shouldn't be relied upon. There are quite a few rails and snow-covered rails that you may grind all the way to their end and will usually put you safely on the ground and usually lead to another helpful rail. I recommend starting off by grinding the first rail, following that to the next rail on the right side, which itself leads to a snow-covered rail that will take you over the crevasse and to the other side, from there if you keep to the left be warned that the terrain has a very wavy shape to it and the crevasse will cut in and out and if you go too fast you may find yourself swallowed up by it. The wingsuit is also very helpful here if you would rather use that than grinding.
