How to unlock the Peak-A-Boo achievement in SSX - Definitive Guide

What you will need to do to unlock the "Peak-A-Boo" achievement is to Participate in a Public Global Event in every Peak in the game. Custom Global Events don't count

From the Main Menu go into Global Events then select Browse Globe.

Now you need to go through each of the below Mountains and participate in 1 event per peak (not per mountain)
For Example:
To complete "The Alps" you need to go to 1 drop in each of these locations:
Vorassay
Grand Golliat
Mont Blanc

Participating does not mean to actually do the event, so if you want to do the achievement even quicker you can simply load up the map and quit the match. You will still be entered in the competition but get a N/A.

Below is a checklist of all the Peaks you need to do.

Himalayas
Chomo Lonzo
Makalu
Mount Everest
Lhotse

Africa
Meru
Kilimanjaro
Mawenzi

Antarctica
Mount Slaughter
Vinson Massif
Mount Craddock

New Zealand
Aoraki
Mount Wakefield
Mount Tasman

Siberia
Mount Belukha East
Boris
Kara-Oiuk

Alaska
Foraker
Denali
Silverthrone

Rockies
Mount Robson
Extinguisher Tower
Whitehorn Mountain

Patagonia
Cerro Pollone
Cerro Torre
Fitz Roy

Alps
Vorassay
Grand Golliat
Mont Blanc

Does it count to create and play a custom challenge or must it be an event with multiple players? Would be much easier and it won't cost any money since most events cost between 10.000 to 100.000 join :(

Creating custom events should work as well as it doesn't say anything about the Global Events being public.

Japan has been taken off the list as it does not matter whether you have it or not. Japan counts towards nothing apart from some extra fun :D

That is also true, it counts as you participating when it takes your money and joins you in as soon as it starts to load the level so you could possibly just start and quit an event on each Peak.

Solution needs to state that custom events DO NOT COUNT. Very pissed off at having to do them all again... But I'm a completionist like the rest of us so another run isn't the end of the world.

That's why it's best to have a handy little checklist like above when doing the Global Events ^.^ just print out or put on your phone or have a computer next to you and cross off each as you go through.

I went through every single peak as well, using a combination of custom and public events, no achievement.

This achievement is incredibly easy. You don't even need to complete the events. Just buy the pass, choose your rider, start up the event, and as soon as you jump out of the heli, you can simply hit the start button and leave. This will count as participating. Wierd, but awesome xD

Does there have to be other riders entered into the event when you start? I went through all peaks twice and did not get the achievement. Did not use any custom events, only the standard Trick, Race and Survive events, but there were a few where I was the only participant.

@Agent 47 ZA Nobody has to be in the event with you, you just have to participate.

Well I waited around for a bit last night and nothing came up for some spots, but this morning I was able to get a few more I needed. Looks like it's somewhat random.

Yeah that's what I'm seeing pretty much everywhere in the places I need. The himalayas popped up yesterday.

I still need Africa and 3 others

It appears they are now staggering the events into certain places on different days....

It was a recent change last week. Darn my luck. Might want to add it to the guide.

I don't get this achievement. I've gone through each peak countless times and competed on every single one. Do I need to do this all in one day? And do I have to do specific drops? I currently have a run on every peak in Antarctica, Patigonia, Rockies, Alaska, Siberia, Himalayas, Africa and I have already done the Alps a couple days ago. I don't understand why this Achievement wont unlock.

You need to go to each drop in each location, for example:
To complete "The Alps" you need to go to 1 drop in each of these locations:
Vorassay
Grand Golliat
Mont Blanc

and the same for each area.

I got the same problem. Went through every single peak, but still no achievement.
But hey! This game is fun like hell, so doing it all over again won't bother me at all. Winning! :D

Right, finally got this achievement after foolishly doing it in Explore mode first... Anyway insead of me making a new solution I'll put my findings here. Firstly as stated Japan does not need to be done. Secondly I am fairly certain that failing to get the Bronze requirements does not matter, I put a ? next to the few events this happened to me on and I didn't need to repeat them for the achievement to pop. This means you can probably pick the survive types and let yourself die quickly, making this quicker than going through a 2-5 minute course. Custom events don't work though I'm afraid, had to repeat a few there. Finally the achievement pops upon loading the event on the last peak, you dont need to finish the event.

i want to confirm that you do not have to do japan !
just unlocked the achievement when i wanted to start the last peak on your list (Alps-Mont Blanc)

also i finished with an DNP status, so not even bronze, on Himalayas-Makalu (51k riders on it atm)
so its possible i guess to just finish/die depending the gamemode you are on, and its still counts as participate ?!?! (this needs confirmation though)

Whilst creating custom matches on the needed peaks DOES NOT count towards this achievement, having a boosting partner create ones for you DOES (I've just confirmed it working). This is fortunate as the DEVS are now only holding events on 2 mountain ranges a day and they sometimes don't even include all the peaks.

You and your boosting partner can only create 3 custom matches at one time so set them all to 10 mins each, quit out when it loads up and then move to the next mountain range once the timer expires. All the ranges (Africa / Alaska / Alps / Antarctica / New Zealand / Patagonia / Rockies / Siberia) have 3 peaks apart from Himalayas which has 4 so I would leave this one until last.

I only have 8 runs to do and sounds like a brilliant way to get it done in a few moments.

You have to participate in one event in each Peak in every Range, excluding Japan, if you have it. Every mountain range has three peaks in it, except Himalayas which has four. The Ranges are the Rockies, Patagonia, Africa, Siberia, the Alps, Himalayas, Alaska, Antarctica, and New Zealand. Once again, Mount Fuji is not necessary.
Note that CUSTOM EVENTS will not count towards this achievement, you must participate in a Global Event.
