How to unlock the The Golden Tricker achievement in SSX - Definitive Guide

There are four gold badges to collect:
- Keep Tricky alive for 180 seconds. Keep your combo going, long rails are good for this. You have infinite boost, use it to turn small hills into small tricks. Pieces of flare also count as tricks, so if you can hit these at the same time, it'll keep your combo going. Longer runs like Serenity on Makalu in the Himalayas are needed to keep Tricky running long enough.

Alternately, go to JT2 in the Rockies. Near the end of the run, there will be an old railroad you can grind on for a good ten seconds. Hit the rail while in tricky, grind to the end, then rewind back to the beginning for as long as it takes to unlock this. (Thanks perceptron3000!)
- Accumulate 3 hours spent in Tricky. See the above for how to stay in Tricky, this will come with repeated runs.
- Perform a Signature Trick with 9 unique characters. While in Super Tricky mode (when the Tricky symbol is glowing orange) do any trick while holding cn_LTcn_RT. First, unlock:
SSXTeam SSXThe Team SSX achievement in SSX worth 25 pointsUnlock every member of Team SSX through World Tour (or purchase in Explore or Global Events)

Once you've done that, go to a run and pull out the signature trick with each character.
- Perform every Super Uber trick. This can be a pain, as there's no list that says which tricks you have or haven't landed. As a helpful note, if the badge progress says 93%, you're only missing one. These have to be done in Super Tricky, else it will count as a Super Uber trick for the Gold medal. As another note, keep in mind that if you land a 180 spin, the trick controls will be reversed.

For each trick, I have the right stick controls first, the button combinations second. There are thirteen aerial super ubers tricks and six grinds. Thanks to FoxA83 for pointing out that grinds count!

Good solution, but I would really recommend to add the fact that you can do the "Keep Tricky alive for 180 seconds" badge so much easier if you use rewind while you are grinding in tricky mode. You can even track your progress in game, because that badges are shown in the top left corner of the screen when you reached them. Still thumbs up!

I should have thought of that, given as I did the same thing for the boost medals. Thanks for the heads up!

As I mentioned in the guide, "For each trick, I have the right stick controls first, the button combinations second." I just included both control schemes.

Mute – X + B
Nose Grab – X + Y
Rocket – Y
Seatbelt – X + A
Stalefish – B + X
Stiffy – Y + B

Switch Rocket – Y
Switch Seat Belt – B + A

There is a simple way of keeping tricky alive and performing all super uber tricks at the same time.
Prepare for a jump while in tricky mode and just as you hit the ground, use the rewind feature so you can redo the jump. Just keep doing this until you have all super uber tricks and you should also get the maintain tricky badge in the process.
Not sure if 100% correct but I think you have to hit the ground for the trick to register, then its safe for you to use the rewind.

I'm going to test that theory tomorrow and will report:) The rewind trick worked on speed requirements for Race badges, while grinding.

I can confirm that you can get the badge this way. It takes a while though, as you have to sustain Tricky for 180 seconds. I jumped from some ramp, while under Tricky, grabbed air, did some tricks and landed, after which I rewound. Jump, trick, land, rewind. Rince&Repeat and after several minutes it will pop.
Good place for this is Serenity:)

This did not work for me well the super uber tricks did but not maintain tricky for 180 seconds. I have done what you have said n Mastah Jayu, i even did it for like 15 minutes n it still didn't work. The badge progress is at 95%, i don't know how i did that but that were b4 i started this method.
Help please.

I can only assume that the time only ticks while the gameplay is going on and not during the rewind part. This is probably why its taking some time. It does 100% work though as im not exactly great at the game but managed up get the maintain tricky badge with this method.

It does work indeed, although it really took some time. I was really lucky as I was to give up after several minutes and just when I wanted to stop trying it popped.

I can attest to this working, but IMO it's easier to get the jumps separately from the tricky. For the Tricky I used a really long rail slide, had tricky the whole time, then rewound & slid it over & over again. Two things, though: 1) if your tricky breaks at any point it breaks the combo for purposes of this medal even if you rewind, and 2) the rewinding time doesn't count towards the 3 minutes, so it feels like it takes FOREVER. Be patient.

Thanks, this helped me a lot. Otherwise this would have been unobtainable for me.

There is a way easier manner of getting 180 seconds of tricky.
There is a glitch in the Last to Hit run on Mount Wakefield in New Zealand.
You can also use this to get your 60 minutes of wing suit time.
As soon as you are free falling start doing tricks until you get tricky.
Seeing as how you can't land you will never lose tricky. Also it's a lot less annoying and risky than using the rewind method (if you rewind to far you will lose tricky).
Just wait 3 minutes and you got your badge.

Here is a video on how to get to the free fall, all credits for making it are going to
Spacemarine321 and also thanks to CrowderPleaser for uploading this video on TA.

Quick tip if you are struggling with the "Keep Tricky alive for 180 seconds" gold badge:

You can simply enter a Trick event, get into Tricky, and as soon as you are about to run out Tricky, rewind a couple seconds when you were in Tricky and repeat.

Each cycle of rewinds you do progresses the time in Tricky. I realized this when I got the "Keep Tricky Alive for 120 seconds" badge for a miscellaneous category of medals while going for the "Perform every Super Uber trick" badge.

You can also see that the time for the trick event continues to increase even if you rewind.

It's a carefree and easy way to get the badge, simply spam the rewinds until you see the badge unlock in the top left corner of your screen.

It took 6 minutes in game time to unlock for me, but this all depends on when you enter tricky in the event.

I'll tell you how to get all the gold badges.

1. Hold Tricky for 180 seconds. It's simple, let's accumulate tricks and go. To prevent it from flying off, press on the ground . For those who can't do it, let's get into the glitch - VIDEO .

2. Spend 3 hours playing tricks. While you are knocking out everything else, you will definitely get it!!!

3. Make a Signature Trick for all characters. This is done in Super Tricky, click + +

4. Do all the Super Uber tricks. More tricks, more variety and the badge will only come out that way. (personally, it turned out that I first performed all the Super Über tricks, and then just Super tricks)
