How to unlock the Queen of the Depths achievement in Star Ocean The Divine Force - Definitive Guide

Once you've completed the main storyline, as well as the first post game dungeon and the boss there (three times), you will be able to access the second post game dungeon, The Ultima Thule, by heading back to the end of the Provenience Cavern in Paladurnia. Make your way through its levels to the top where you will encounter the boss of the zone and, much like the last post game dungeon boss, you will need to defeat them three times; unlike the previous dungeon, however, you will need to climb The Ultima Thule from level one each time.

In order to even stand a chance against them, I strongly recommend you level your team to 255 and craft the best gear possible for each of the four you use. In order to do so, you will need to farm Philosopher's Stones by converting Exailithium Crystals in Alchemy with Albaird (do not use Malkya, you must use Albaird). The easiest way to farm the crystals is to visit Den'mohr Delve and save scum until your opponents are the five robots, make sure you have +% item gain on, and go to town.

Once you have acquired a good handful of Philosopher's Stones and crafted everyone's top gear (most characters must craft their own, ie. Letty has to Smith her own best swords, Midas must Craft his own best staff, Nina/Albaird must Craft their best cloth armour, etc), you need to Synthesize good accessories. Preferably, you got some Tri-Emblems while making your Philosopher's Stones.

Get the best accessory factors you can find by grinding out low level accessories and Synthesize them onto your Tri-Emblems. For example, as Letty was my main, I made one stacked with attack and another stacked with defense so they were 16k and 22k respectively. There are many strong Synthesis options you can mix and match to your playstyle (I also included -80% prep time using items and 20% chance of attacks costing 0 AP).

Last but not least, slap some +% accessory effect onto your armour to boost your accessories a bit further and you're ready to go.

General Battle Strategy

The first half of the fight is a tank and spank. She will often attempt to lock your character into a multi-hit spinning attack with her spear, so dodge with LB as soon as you see it coming. The other attacks of note are moderately sized delayed AoEs that you can quickly and easily run out of before they explode.

Once you get her down to about 50%, she'll summon a Queen's Shadow, and it is an exact clone of her (but thankfully with much less health). I cannot overstate how important it is to focus fire on this clone, as she will summon yet another one around 25% and it is very bad to have three of them in the fight. Burn down the Shadows while attempting to evade all their attacks and then return focus to the Queen, repeating until she is down for the third time.

Party I used and their current equipment

Leticia - Gearr nan Colann, Aegis Guard, Tri-Emblem x2
Nina - Finnfaidech, Falluinn na Mhuir-Bhais, Tri-Emblem x2
Midas - Gambanteinn of Gales, Kavacha Plate, Tri-Emblem x2
Raymond - Scorching Marmyadose, Stoneguard Hira-Ishi, Tri-Emblem x2
If you have any questions on where to go or further details on how to do the item creation or anything, please just ask and I'll answer whatever I can.

Cheers and good luck taking down the final boss of the game!

Doable on Earth difficulty. My team was 190-200 with the highest quality weapons and armor for each individual. Comp was Ray, Laticia, Nina, and Marielle. Nina's heal and rez maxed are key, then everyone's buffs. Any confusion, scorched and fire resist, +divinity damage, and stagger resist are probably the best perks. No Guard on Ray is very op.
