How to unlock the Savior of Aurelia achievement in Star Trek Legacy - Definitive Guide

I pretty much just got this, I had the Enterprise (Sovereign/Battleship), 2 Nebula & 1 Intrepid class cruisers..

Soon as it starts up (you need to be quick doing this, because one scream & no achievement - For this I used the strategy map to get theships where needed and targeting.. for this, we're also not interested in the Borg Cubes, they're only interested in the planets, so leave them to it (for the entire mission)

Send the right d-pad ship north, to the left side of planet directly north.
Then the down d-pad ship at the 3 Rectangles slightly to the east of your starting position.
then I sent the last 2 ships to the north most planet, that is second from right, one to the lower left side, the other to the south.

As soon as your ships are all in place, you need to target both Borg Spheres with your ship we sent north - just target one, hit it, then target/hit the other because you want their attention on you - a quick phaser blast will do the job. Also target all 3 rectangles in the same way with the south west ship. With the last 2 ships use each ship to target (and hit) the spheres that come from north & east respectively, these will soon be followed by more Spheres & Rectangles before long. You need to get the south west ship to get rid of the Rectangles quick (full power to weopons and use what ever photons) then send this one up to the north just to help out with the two Spheres, check the east side for new enemies as the south west ship warps to the north & give them a nudge, there was still vunerable refugee ships coming from the north planet.

Once the 2 Spheres in the west are gone, send these 2 ships to join the main fight in the east, hopefully no screams still.. keep the ships working individually for now, swapping between them making sure you've nudged all the enemies, until the planet right next to you get's assimilated and it's refugee ships are in the clear - all that should be left now is to just fight the remaining Borg, checking that none leave the main fight, and still leave the Cubes alone - it should be a walk in the park from here...

Out of 7 achievement guides, and easily 50 failed attempts, this is the one that finally got it for me.

You need to be quick and get your intrepid class ship attacking the rectangles almost immediately though.

superb guide got it on 3rd go, shooting the 2 spheres with the right d pad ship is the priority then the rectangles near the start, do that quick and its a lot easier, phew, thanks very much!

Worked. I had one set of screams and still got the achievement. One thing to note, once the borg is engaged with you, they will follow you across the map. After the first planet is assimiilated and no more refugee ships are leaving, you can have your ships warp in and out to grab the loose borg ships and prevent damage. I had 3 soverign class ships and had to warp 1 out because of damage and that made it managable for the other 2 as half of the borg went after the wounded enterprise.

It's been a while since I played, you may of got lucky and saved a ship while it was critical, I can't remember if there's screams from the planet when the Borg assimilate it. Either way I'd play for no screams.
Can't say I'm much of a fan of the Sovereign, I had 3 & a cruiser on the final mission (when going for the Legacy achievement), and found it awkward, far easier with cruisers

I think you hear a scream early in the mission no matter what. I also let the cubes assimilate a planet my first try, and I didn't get it. Next time, I heard the one scream, attracted everyone's attention and took out the cubes early. It popped for me then

I started following Mazrael's guide but just couldn't keep any newly spawning ships away from the transports when I was in engaged in battle, (nothing wrong with his guide I just suck at controlling multiple ships quickly) so I found a way that suited me and this works on admiral difficulty too.

1st make a copy of your save so that you can use these settings without effecting your later choices for ships and just go for this achievement only.

Choose 2 defiant class ships and an ambassedor class ship.
Immediately go to the tactical map and warp the 'right' defient to the rectangles, the 'left' defient to the top left planet, the enterprise to the top right planet and the ambassedor class to the far right planet.

Now switch back to the right defient and fire on the rectangles to get them to attack you. Switch to the left defient and fire on the spheres so they will follow you too. Now get both defients to go to the edges of the map away from the planets, now swap to the enterprise and fire on all ships near it and also lead the ships away to the edge. IMPORTANT do not kill any ships this will mean that no borg will spawn near a transport. keep just in view of the borg and lead them on a merry chase around the outside. use the ambassedor to warp to any ship that needs help for a repair and distract the borg with it.

Just keep checking on all ships and if they get to a corner warp backwards past the borg and go the other way. Try to join the fleet up to make this easier but don't go into the middle of the map. After a while all ships will get to the starbase and the achievement will unlock.

One scream and start again. Completely ignore the cubes. Hope this helps.

Awesome! First try thanks to your excellent solution. Thanks. I used a sovereign instead of an ambassador but it worked wonderfully, set everyone's shields to max and just tooled around waiting for the refugees to get safe.
