Very easy to do, you can pick co-op wave and from what I remember you can do that on your own, from there simply destroy 10 ships and BAM achievement unlocked.

You need at least two people to get this achievement it will not let you start the game unless you have two human players.

^Exactly, this cannot be done alone, two online players required minimum

Take a destroyer class ship from any faction except Federation. Set the game to have 4 ships and 10 respawns. You need at least one other player to start the match. Have all other players choose 4 scout class ships. Start the match and you and your AI players will easily take out the scout ships. Very quick and easy achievement. To help even further, have the other players all choose a different faction to knock out the other "destroy 10" achievements.
