How to unlock the Shadows of the Solanae achievement in Star Trek Online - Definitive Guide
This map will be used as a reference:
(gotten from http://sto.gamepedia.com/Accolade/Lore#Solanae_Dyson_Sphere_...)
The Solanae Dyson Sphere story arc opens up upon reaching level 50.
There will be a point in the story where you are forced to land in the Voth Battlezone, which is where all the accolades required for the achievement are obtained. That mission is called The Omega Standoff.
The accolades you are looking to obtain are called Awaiting the Return, Searched for the Truth, Testing the Limits, Voth Cultural Expert, Dyson Sphere Researcher, and Paleontologist. To figure out which ones you have or don't have, go to the Lore Accolades category of the Accolades tab in the Mission Journal.
Voth Cultural Expert
Capture a control point, which is represented by the fireball looking symbols on the map above, then interact with the nearby cache (represented by the blue dots). To capture these points, simply stand defend the area that is defined by a yellow circle until the bar fills up.
Awaiting the Return, Searched for the Truth, and Testing the Limits
(each area has its own accolade: Outskirts, Park, and City, respectively)
Capture a generator, which is represented by the omega symbols on the map above. Once captured, you should be able to interact with any Unknown Console with that area (represented by the green dots). To start the capture process, you must activate the console underneath the container. There is another object you can interact with just to the left of that first console that will speed up the process (it unlocks an accolade, too, but that's not required for this achievement). There are two "checkpoints" where the container will stall until you activate another console. Those consoles will have arrows above it, and it is under where the container stops. Once the container reaches the end, the point is captured.
Also, you'll notice that the Outskirts area only has two, whilst the other two areas (Park and City) have three. For some reason, you can/have to activate the bottom-left Unknown Console twice (as well as the other Unknown Console, of course) in order to unlock the accolade.
Dyson Sphere Researcher
This is obtained once you obtain Awaiting the Return, Searched for the Truth, and Testing the Limits.
Paleontologist
This is obtained once all other accolades are obtained, and should unlock when the achievement unlocks.

Done this achievement today... And I can confirm the solution to fix the glitch with the non-shining console (the north 1 of 2 in the outskirts area). U can geht the accolade in this area both from the console in the west. First of all get the omega zone (north east) blue. After this go to the console in the west (those zone doesn't have to be blue, only the omega zone in this area) and get ur first console information. After u have it logout, and wait for a area reset. It's important that the area has time to reset because also the console resets. When u back online and the area is reset u can repeat it und get from the same console the 2nd information and u get the outskirts zone accolate and if this was your last missing information also u get the achievement. =)
Good luck
Good luck

Any idea why some of the console wont let you scan them even though they are in a controlled area and the generators are controlled by you?

This trophy can be awarded to you for working on the finicky accolades of the Solanae Dyson Sphere Battlezone. Now, caution: you must be participating in the ground combat section of the Sphere's battlegrounds to unlock these accolades and, thereby, the trophy. Any space combat accolades, or any other than these mentioned, will not be required.
Voth Cultural Expert:
Located near the (comet mark) Control Points in each location should be a Voth Cache. This accolade will not pop until you have accessed all seven caches. Thankfully, all of the caches themselves will be adequately close to the control point platform, but you will need to actually have the point captured to be able to open these. Two await you in the park, three in the city, and two in the outskirts (meeting the number of Control Points each area has).
Awaiting the Return / Searched for the Truth / Testing the Limits:
These three accolades are tied to accessing Unknown Consoles in each of the three areas. To access the consoles, all Omega Generator points in the specific area must be captured to power them up. I would refer to you using a map, such as the one provided by the Star Trek Online's fandom accolades page, to locate them. The problem with these accolades lie in the fact the consoles are sometimes bugged. Go through each zone, making sure you've collected all you can (which may be 2/3 per area) and then switch Instances (bring up the map, then press to select another instance). Another solution would be to take this on over multiple days and hope that they refresh. You don't have to access all of them in a provided area, but you do have to interact with them three times in each area to acquire the necessary lore.
Dyson Sphere Researcher:
Cumulative meta-accolade for having collected all of the lore through the Unknown Consoles in all three areas.
Paleontologist:
Cumulative meta-accolade for having collected the five previously mentioned accolades.
Voth Cultural Expert:

This achievement is for earning the Lore Accolade of Paleontologist. Here is a LINK to the an STO wiki that goes into a deeper explanation of what is required.
The Solanae Dyson Sphere is a large zone that is unlocked while doing the Solanae Dyson Sphere story arc. The zone starts out with you in your ship as you do various open world missions. When you get to the mission 'The Omega Standoff', you will be introduced to the Voth Battlezone. This is an open world ground only area that has you competing to capture different points on the map by completing objectives. If you capture the whole map you will fight a giant boss and earn lots of rewards. You will not need to complete the whole map or fight the boss to earn this achievement. All of the objectives can be captured solo if you have good gear and good abilities (I did it at level 65 with all mk 15 gear, but your milage may very). It is way easier to do if you have a team, or have other people in the zone with you.
In the zone there are three different types of objectives that you need to do to capture a point. Only two of them are required for the achievement.
The points with the Omega symbol are a "carry the load" type objective. You interact with a console and a battery starts moving along a set path. There will be two points where the battery stops and you have to interact with a console again to keep it moving. Once the battery gets to the end point you have captured the objective. Enemies will continually spawn as the battery is moving so you have to stay on your toes and fight them off. Once you have captured one Omega point in an area (Outskirts, City, or Park) you can then interact with the "Unknown Consoles" in the area. If you look at the map provided in the link you will see green dots on the map. Those are the Unknown Consoles. For Dyson Sphere Researcher Accolade you only need to capture one Omega point in an area then run around and click all the consoles in that area. You do not have to capture all of the Omega points.
The only exception is for Awaiting the Return in the Outskirts area. If you look at the map in the link there are only 2 green dots and not 3 like in the other areas. There is currently a glitch where the 3rd console does not allow you to interact with it. To complete this accolade you have to do something different. Once you have interacted with the two consoles that are on the map you will have to log out for a set amount of time. I logged out for a couple of hours. When you come back in the consoles have "reset." You need to go back into the Outskirts, capture one of the Omega points and you can interact with the Unknown Console located on the far left of the map a second time. This will trigger the accolade.
The points with the Fireball symbol are "hold the point" type objectives. There are 7 of them across all 3 of the areas. When you get to the area you have to stay on the point and fight off waves of enemies for specific duration. Once the time is up you have captured the point. After the point has been captured there is a crate in each area that you will be able to interact with. For the accolade Voth Cultureal Expert you will need to interact with each of the 7 crates. This means you will need to capture each of the 7 Fireball points.

The trophy is actually quite simple. To get it, you need to scan several Unknown Consoles in the ground combat zone on the Solan Dyson Sphere, as in this video . The only difficulty is that to activate the consoles the Omega generator on this map must be captured. It can be difficult to do this alone.
