How to unlock the Ackbar's Elite achievement in STAR WARS Battlefront - Definitive Guide
Ackbar's Elite (40)
"It's a trap!" - Were detecting Imperial forces heading to your position, survive while we send reinforcements!
Endor 'Cheat'
This can be completed Solo or in CO-OP.
There is a nice cheat on Endor as you're able to go up to the highest Ewok tree platforms which the enemies cannot reach you on but can still shoot you.
The simple cheat just requires the jump pack, as you'll use this to fly up to the higher platforms above the standard ones. Be warned though, the enemies and AT-ST's (chicken walkers) can shoot you depending on yours and the enemies position.
They shouldn't really be a problem though, I'd suggest keeping an eye out for the shadow troopers (black/cloaked). As they tend to sit underneath you.
You can actually go even higher on some other platforms, but wont really be necessary for this achievement.
I've provided a video below on how to get to and on the platform.
Before You Start! -
'Hands'
Upon starting Endor you will need to equip the Scoundrel Hand. This hand gives you the jump pack but also the ION grenade which does huge damage to the AT-ST's (Even more damage if you hit them directly).
Weapons
The Force
Lightsaber
For weapons I'd recommend using the RT-97C as it's an all-round death machine which will wipe all types of enemies easily from above and at long ranges. - Although any weapon with decent range should do fine.
The 'Cheat'
A short video that shows the location of the cheat and how to get up to it.
Edit 28/02/2018: When I made the video Xbox has deleted the clip as it was recorded with the DVR. Apologies in advance however thanks to the comments there is a YouTube video guide now linked.
You may also be able to earn the 'On the ball' achievement using this method, however for the sake of not dying, I'd go for this after you've done Ackbar' Elite.
Hope this helps, any questions please ask!

The video doesn't seem to be linked anymore but I'm assuming its the same place as the one located in this video.
I did it in just shy of 56 minutes with the DLTX.

OK so something weird happen when I did, I was playing local Coop with another account signed in. I died but the other account didn't. Completed the map and I got the achievement for doing without dying but the other account didn't. So I'm guessing maybe only the primary account can get the achievement and as long as only 1 play doesn't die

My partner and I were able to get both On the ball and Ackbar's Elite using the following strategy:
Co-op survival, master difficulty on Hoth.
Take positions in the small rectangular room directly opposite the main hangar bay door. It is all the way down at the other end.
The right player covers the left chokepoint (many enemies path through a specific area) and the left player works on the center before covering the tunnel to the right. If you get a turret, it is very useful in either position (we had a turret on the right).
Ignore most drop pods. We risked getting the first one in the hopes of receiving a turret. There will also be a drop pod that lands in front of your room that is easy to capture.
We used the DL-44 Blaster pistol (as it currently feels pretty OP), and star cards as necessary when enemies began getting close.
The benefit of the room is that you can funnel enemies through specific choke points, maintain cover using angles, and only occasionally have enemies make it into the doorway. Two waves contain chicken walkers, which can be dealt with by drawing them close to the room and then shooting at their feet (they won't be able to fire at you). But be careful of rockets and grenades during their approach.
Take cover and regain health if you take too many hits! Note that the right side of the room is deeper than the left. We completed the 15 waves in roughly 20 minutes, with a few near-death experiences.
Only the person going for the achievement has to stay alive - if you or your partner dies the other person can continue playing for the achievement. (Thanks to comments below.)

If one person dies, use them as cannon fodder, because if the other player doesn't die, they will still get the achievement.

Anyone wants to take a crack at doing this and any other achievement in this game message me and we can arrange a time.

Very similar to CR4SHED's guide, but my guide varies and is much easier
Map: Hoth
CO-OP SURVIVAL
Difficulty: Master
Load out: E-11's
Rogue Card Pack (The one they offer)
When you spawn, immediately turn around and go into the doorway right behind you, then proceed to your left and into the room that has a collectible.
There are two indentations in the room for a little hideout, on the right and left, both people need to sit in these little indents and look down the hallway that you came from. This is the only area enemies can come from. You are going to want to consistently use your cards, (Barrage and the Thermal Detonator) to shoot down the hallway to either kill or wound the enemies before they even reach the room.
The types of enemies that will come down the hallway are:
Standard Imperial Soldiers
Heavy Imperial Blaster Soldiers
Cloak Shock Blaster Imperials
Drones, Jump Pack enemies, and snipers will not go down to the room you are hiding in.
Our strategy was to sit in this room and kill everyone that came to us, and when we had the drones, snipers, and jump pack enemies we would go back down the hallway to the little T intersection, and kill everyone else, while still having enough cover.
When the AT-ST spawns on round 5, you should have a drop pod sitting around the map somewhere, wait for the AT-ST to go inside (if the drop pod is outside) or vice versa if the drop pod is inside. Capture it and one of the drops should be a vehicle turret, place it somewhere in the center of the map to kill the AT-ST.
The Drops you are going to NEED are Blaster Cannons. You can set it up in the room and it makes this whole process a breeze as the blaster cannon causes the enemies to fall to the ground (When you hit them) allowing you to kill them before they even have a chance to shoot at you. Make sure to claim drop pods during rounds that have droids, just leave 1 alive and just run around the map avoiding it and getting the power-ups for future rounds.
Round 15 is the hardest, but not that hard all-together. Do what you have been doing and when there are just a handful of enemies left, which will be snipers, drones, jump pack enemies, and an AT-ST use the strategies you have been using before to take them all down.
I hope this helps!

I got this achievement playing on Hoth with a partner (FattyMcFattz). There is a room in the back of the hangar with only one way in and out.
I used a load out of Thermal Detonater, Explosive Shot, and Impact Grenade with the RT-97C Heavy Blaster. Stay in this room firing on enemies as they enter using grenades before enemies bare down on you(be careful with impact grenades as they will hit walls in front of you causing your death). You will have to leave the room ever so often as Biker Scouts and Jump Troopers will not come in. And to fight the AT-ST; I suggest leaving the room to the left.
There is a possibility to unlock On The Ball achievement when doing this provided when leaving the room to kill Biker Scouts and Jump Troopers is done quickly enough.
Here is a video showing the room to make your stand.

This can be done solo, I chose Endor for the obvious reason of having the high balcony point to snipe from.
I picked the DLT-19X, now if that doesn't sound familiar it's one of the Hutt Contract weapons that has no Achievement tied to it, so most people don't bother unlocking it. And as for multiplayer, I have never seen anyone using it because every single shot will overheat it. Yes, you read that right, one shot, overheated. It's basically the Longshot from Gears of War. So why use it? Because that one shot will kill Probe Droids and standard Stormtroopers in one shot, no headshot requried. If you land a headshot it will instantly kill Scout Troopers, the Stormtroopers with jet packs, the red Stormtroopers with the heavy blasters, and the black Stormtroopers with cloaking.
For cards, I used the upgraded Jetpack (obviously), the upgraded Bacta Grenade, and the Ion Shot...which I do not recommend. Since the DLT-19X overheats with every shot, you won't be able to fire it enough times to do enough damage to the AT-STs to be worth carrying it. Better idea would be to bring Adrenaline Rush or the Cooling Cell.
There's plenty of videos showing how to get there, but a brief description; from the starting point, to the right there's an Ewok tree village. There's ramps that lead up to the 1st level of it. A jetpack will get you to the 2nd level, which is a single round platform. The place you want to be is the 3rd level because this level is three round platforms connected with walkways, giving you somewhere to escape to if the Stormtroopers start throwing grenades at you. Thankfully, the grenades don't do lethal damage, somewhere around 30-50 points of damage.
The DLT-19X will let you kill everything quickly, except for the AT-STs. From the 3rd level, the AT-STs cannot target you, they end up looking like sad puppies because they can look up at you but their weapons don't aim that high. From that height, you can fire on them, but with my loadout I had nothing that could damage them with any degree of efficiency. I found the only safe times to leave the 3rd level to grab the escape pods was when the AT-STs were around ironically. Because they're so slow, it takes them a while to reach you, especially when the upgraded jetpack lets you get around so fast. They also cannot claim escape pods so I'd claim it, then run to the next one and start claiming that one, doing a circle around the map. By the time I'd get back to the first pod it would be open, usually with power ups I could use against the AT-STs. For the love of Ackbar I would NOT recommend carrying the smart rocket with you back to the 3rd level, simply because of how easy it can be to accidentally fire it too close to you...on the 14th wave. If I ever brought anything back with me it was a turret.
The biggest thing to remember is to take your time. Seriously. TAKE. YOUR. TIME. Don't be in a rush and make stupid decisions, you have all the time in the world, there is no time limit for this. Don't try to do this and the 35 minute achievement at the same time. Do this one OR the other one. Trying to do both will be unnecessarily stressful.
Remember; 'Patience! For the Jedi it is time to eat as well!!' and you should be fine.

DON'T PRESS to spend a life!
My partner and I died multiple times.
I let HIM clear all the waves and spend as many lives as HE needed.
YOU will get auto spawned once your partner clears the wave.
I died almost every wave. I NEVER PRESSED to spend a life.
Once HE completed the last wave, I got auto spawed and I got the achievement.

Full credit to Premixed Donkey for the video below, I claim no rights or ownership. It's not my video but I did use the exact same method.
Personally the best map for this trophy is Tatooine, it's frustrating as hell and it may take several attempts but this "God Spot" is damn near foolproof. Here's how I did it:
Card Hand:
Personal Shield
Ion Grenade
Ion Torpedo
Use the video to find the location of the platform that you stand on throughout the whole mission. DO NOT STRAY, many times I poked my head out to try and hit an AT-ST and got wiped out. Also you can get stuck trying to get back up which makes you vulnerable, just stay put and be patient and eventually you'll get your shot.
Normal waves are easy, it's just a case of watching each side using the radar and wait for enemies to come into view. I used the RT-97C because of good damage and insane fire rate but use whatever works for you.
On vehicle waves you'll have normal enemies plus anything up to two AT-ST's, try and stay hidden from them but take out the troopers first so you can concentrate on the chicken walkers on their own.
You can use the Ion torpedo to get a sneaky lock on just whilst the AT-ST's are coming into view then throw an Ion grenade for additional damage whilst you're waiting for your cooldown.
You can pretty much just nail everything with headshots from here but beware, every now and then they might try a cheeky grenade which will half your health making you vulnerable.
If your health drops low, use the personal shield, crouch and hug the wall and you shouldn't have any problems.
Tips:
Like I said before, stay put! Every time I tried to get back up to chase an enemy down or to get a cheeky Ion torpedo in I died.
Take care, you CAN fall off the platform! Keep an eye on your footing and always know how far from the edge of the ledge you are.
DO NOT USE ANY DETONATORS! I cannot stress this enough. I must have killed myself with the barrage five times and it's immensely frustrating. It's possible to bounce them off the rocks and back on yourself so don't include it in your hand to avoid temptation.
Watch out for shadow troopers, they take 75% of your health off with one good shot making you incredibly easy for others to dispatch. If you can hit them with headshots it'll disorientate them meaning they can't get a shot off at you... easy kill!
Seriously... DO NOT WORRY about drop pods, extra hearts and charges. 5 charges for the Personal shield plus any you pick up on the way to the platform should be sufficient, you don't need any pickups and the extra hearts are irrelevant anyway as for this trophy you don't want to die.
Wave 1 is easy... you should aim to complete this one én route to the platform. Once you're there... just don't leave! I died so many times by messing about and not following my own rule, so take my advice. Just go to the platform after wave 1 and stay there! Just let everything come to you.
This really isn't as hard as I thought it would be once you've got the right method, it takes roughly 40-60 minutes with this technique but at least you get the trophy. If anyone has any questions please let me know and best of luck!

Sorry dude, that's a shame it was fine when I posted the solution. A quick look on YouTube should find it.
