Kill 10 enemies in a match of Fighter Squadron

How to unlock the Stay on target achievement in STAR WARS Battlefront - Definitive Guide

It took me well over a dozen matches to get at least 10 kills. Throughout all the matches I never saw someone on the imperial side get over ten as this game type is very heavily weighted in the rebels favor as they have much better ships, much better abilities, and a much better hero. Now it's possible to get this in just a normal starting ship but you're going to get very close to the end of the match when you get near ten kills. What I did was at the start of each match I'd fly around near the bottom of the map looking for the hero pickup which will always be the millennium falcon. If you get it right at the start of the match you shouldn't have a problem getting ten kills.

Tips:
-You can ram through enemy ships instantly killing them without taking damage (including Slave I if your shields are active)
Make sure to ignore the AI altogether (you can tell an AI based on whether or not there's a name above the ship and a tie interceptor will never be an AI).
- When a transport pops up wait a few seconds and then go to it as almost everyone in the match will be over there.
-Dont give up you'll get it eventually
- The hero pickup looks just like all the other pickups but with this symbol.

-Ignore the opposing hero. If you get wrapped up in fighting him there's no way you'll end up with ten kills.

Edit: This is also possible with Slave I if you grab it right at the start of the match.

Great tip, I was trying to get 10 kills in an X-Wing/TIE Fighter and the closest I got was 7 human kills. After a half hour I swallowed my pride and just went for Slave 1 right at the start on the Sullust map....got 12 kills with little trouble.

I did this on the imperial side.
Managed to grab slave 1 but only got 5 kills with it.
Then our transport tried to escape so in my tie interceptor I lined up behind the transport which was being followed my at least 5 human enemies. Very easy kills as they seem more concerned with the transport.
Definitely recommend either hero vessel then if you need more just line up behind your friendly transport and pick off those trying to destroy it.

I'm not sure if this got changed in the most recent patch, but I got this achievement WITH AI kills. Not sure how that happened, thanks for the guide though!

BombasticGinger, I got a combination of AI and player kills (14) and did not get the achievement.

This achievement is now significantly easier - the July update has increased the number of kills your team has to win from 200 to 400, which gives you a lot longer to get those 10 kills.

Agreed. I got it in my first match since the limit was raised to 400.

This achievement requires you to kill 10 human controlled fighters in fighter squadron mode in one game, one sitting.

As of now it is eaiser to do this with Rebel craft, I did this with an Interceptor though. The reason it is easier to do this with Rebel craft is because.

1. Rebel craft detect human controlled craft at greater distances, hopeful this is a bug.

2. Rebel craft hardly ever get a false target lock, lock stays white instead of turning yellow. Hopefully this is a bug OR with a full white lock-on it possibly means the Reb has shields active...?

3. Imp craft don't have shields.

Fighter Squadron is a game mode where you are flying A-wings, X-wings, Tie Fighters and Tie Interceptors and fight against each other (You might get lucky enough to be the Millennium Falcon/Slave 1 which have lots of health).
This achievement requires that you kill 10 enemies in one match, unfortunately the term 'enemies' means human controlled players and not the AI which this game mode has a lot of. I ended a match with 15 kills BUT only TWO were player kills.

To tell the AI apart from the human controlled press cn_LT to aim (You want this anyway!) and look for gamertags over the ships when you aim.
Obviously ignore trying to kill the Millennium Falcon/Slave 1 during this as they have LOTS of health.

Although I had got the 10 kills previously by mostly using the Millennium Falcon, I have found since that one very simple method for increasing your number of player kills is to go for wingmen pickups whenever you can.

As anybody who has played Fighter Squadron knows, the Rebels are the stronger side, so if you are playing as them, go for the Hero pickup right at the start if you can get it. This will give you a great chance for kills, as noted in other solutions.

But as well as that, pick up the Y-Wing and B-Wing icons whenever you can. In fact, prioritise these over kills if you have to choose during the round. These wingmen will get kills in their own right and these count towards your total. I did this last night, got 36 kills total, of which 23 were on other players. And I am nobody's idea of an ace pilot! My Y-Wings and B-Wings made a big contribution to the total.

This trophy requires you to kill 10 enemies in a single match of Fighter Squadron. Note that AI kills do not count. Only player kills count.

This one is a bit of a pain - fighter squadron matches tend to finish quite quickly so getting 10 kills before either side gets to 200 is generally the tricky part. Players vs. AI players in the game are easy to spot - when you are targeting a human player their PSN ID will appear, whereas AI players have no name.

The easiest way to do it is to become the Millennium Falcon or Slave I, as they are a lot tougher and deal a lot more damage than the regular ships. To do this you need to pick up the spawn token. This also takes luck as the tokens can spawn in one of several locations on each map and obviously you need to get there first. The video below (not by me - credit to Youtube user Diablo Pablo for these) shows where the tokens may spawn. The token will have the Rebel or Imperial symbol on it so can be distinguished from the regular health / recharge powerups.

Note that it is possible to get this without using the hero ships - it's just a lot harder. I managed to get it in an A-Wing, and I'm not particularly good, so it is definitely possible.
