How to unlock the Sentry Mode Engaged achievement in STAR WARS Battlefront II - Definitive Guide

To activate the sentry gun simply press cn_RB and cn_LB together while playing as the heavy class. I recommend doing this on Galactic Assault and unloading on the objectives or choke points. Also craft the "Supercharged sentry" star card to make life easier.

TIP: If you are playing against the clone troopers unload your sentry on a LAAT ship (they fire the green laser) for an easy kill. I can get around 6-7 kills in a round from them alone

There is a rumour that only the first kill of each player counts for achievements. So if you kill the same player 5 times in a game it only counts one. Haven't been able to confirm this tho

@DURDENS WRATH: I just started this achievement today and it seems that eliminations count since I have about 75 in less than 2 hours of playing Galactic Assault.

For me it's only counting actual kills. I actually prefer playing strike for this since you get smaller maps that normally have some good choke points

I wonder if this works with Explosive Sentry as well? That's where I have the majority of my kills.

Its actually when you ARE the clone troopers, is when you can shoot them down!

I would like to add that this works in the new Co-op mode. There are moments where so many enemies spawn in and you can rack up so many kills with the sentry. Much easier than regular online game modes. I jumped from 4% to 26% in 3 games

For this you need to use the heavy subclass.

Sentry gun is a special ability activated by pressing cn_LB and cn_RB at the same time. It is a time limited mini gun with very rapid fire.

I recommend an objective playlist like galactic assault where more players will be bunched up.

I found Blast to be by far the best game mode for getting quick kills with the Sentry. I was consistently getting between 15-20 Sentry kills per match on Blast depending on the map. Avoid wide open spaces where you can be flanked easily, and aim for enemies running through doors and hallways. Wait for enemies to enter your line of sight and mow them down with the Sentry. I recommend using Supercharged Sentry, Resourceful and Bodyguard as your star cards. Supercharged Sentry increases damage dealt by the Sentry, while Resourceful reduces the cooldown on the Sentry. Bodyguard reduces damage from explosives and toxins, which is useful as you can't roll away from grenades while the Sentry is deployed. Also upgrade each card as much as you can. I personally had level 3 Supercharged Sentry, level 3 Resourceful and level 2 Bodyguard when I got the achievement.

Easiest way I found to do this is go play>co-op>first order. You are playing against AI so you can earn lots of kills fairly fast. This method can be used to earn the other class achievements.

Once in game select the heavy class, press LB and RB to activate the sentry gun and just kill the AI.

If you are a high enough level you can use the "supercharged sentry" ability card to help but this isn't required.

You can use any version of the sentry gun to get this. The last one you unlock was my preference. Heavy is possibly the best class to play anyway, so this will come with time. Probably a lot less if you do co op.

For this one I Recommend going into any of the CO-OP Missions and grind the kills on bots but if you're in no rush and you want to enjoy the game fully go into a big game mode like Supremacy and just slay it out!

This trophy is specific to the “Heavy” class and can be done in any online game mode with the exception of Starfighter Assault and Heroes vs. Villains.

The sentry gun is the special ability of the Heavy class so make sure you pick this when you’re starting your game or after you've died. The special ability is triggered by pressing and simultaneously and grants you a sentry gun. The gun is very powerful but takes a while to warm up before firing and it decreases your mobility a lot. The aim here is simple enough, just get a 150 kills with this special ability to obtain the trophy. Try to find choke points in objective based game modes for the most success.

To make things a bit easier on yourself you can obtain or craft a star card called “Mobile Sentry” or “Supercharged Sentry”. Both of these can be very helpful depending on playstyle.

You can partially check your progress towards this trophy in the main menu. Go to the “Career” tab, then choose “Troopers” and find the “Hold the Enemy Back” milestone. Unfortunately, this milestone only will state your sentry kills up until 50, but it’s a good reference as to how fast you’re progressing with this.

EDIT: Alternatively, since one of the later updates this trophy can be obtained in co-op mode by playing with bots which might prove easier than obtaining it in regular PvP games. Credits to Mastodon for confirming this method.
