We are the Spark
Defeat 500 enemies as a hero on any Multiplayer map.
How to unlock the We are the Spark achievement in STAR WARS Battlefront II - Definitive Guide
This is now a lot easier with the new Co-op update. In Co-op mode you can quickly build up the Battlepoints needed by killing the AI and then spawn as a Hero.
It's easy to get 50+ kills as a Hero per match.

I've been playing for about 6 weeks and had 17 hero kills. 45 minutes of co-op tonight, and I'm up to 136. Thought this would take me forever, but I should have 100% with the triple XP weekend this weekend.

Co-op mode is definitely the way to get this done fast

You'll accumulate a fair few kills towards this achievement just by naturally playing the game, but while you're probably better off getting these kills in Galactic Assault for the easier defeats, the fact that you have to save battlepoints to become a Hero probably makes Heros vs Villains the more reliable way to actually grind this achievement.
Some people are really good with lightsaber heroes, but I found if you upgrade a blaster hero on both sides you can easily chip away at this achievement while grinding XP, credits, and elusive Choose Your Path kills
Personally I used Boba Fett with upgraded wrist rockets (extra rockets and hero damage) and Chewbacca with upgraded health and Furious Roar. Always use the "zoomed" tight spread on Chewbacca's bowcaster, it can do ridiculous damage when combined with Furious Roar.
Even if the team didn't win the match, I could always spam out 10-15 hero kills each round. If you play defensively on your own team (trying to protect your hero instead of killing the target), the game usually lasts longer and racks up more kills/XP too.

does this count towards the Hero Starfighter Mode?

Step 1. Go on co-op, first order.
Step 2. Get 4k points and get Phasma asap
Step 3. Go to work.
Unlike in the films Phasma is extremely competent here. It's very easy to clock up 50+ kills against the ai in a life. Just be careful of Rey.

On Geonosis and on Felucia, in Capital Supremacy, there are 2 areas where enemy bots continuously spawn.
When playing as Republic in Geonosis grab whatever class you like best and grind up 4k points to afford a Hero. Grab that hero as soon as you can and go as west and as north as possible from your default spawn point. There are 2 spawn points for bots around this area. Kill until you die.
When playing as Clankers in Felucia grind up those 4k for a hero, grab a hero and head to the top right of the map (opposite direction of the Default spawn point). Again kill until you die.
Kashyyk also has a droid spawn point at the very end of the beach if you want to use that but since the space is much bigger it’s easier for you to be killed.
Doing this made easy work of this achievement, earning around 200kills in a couple of hours.
It’s best to do this in Capital Supremacy to avoid spawn killing other players as much as possible (they have more choice in spawn points) and killing mostly bots.

This is super easy with the new co-op mode. There's no limit to how many heroes can play at one time like the other modes.
I usually go with an officer to build up BP quickly, then switch to a hero. General Grievous in particular is good for his Unrelenting Advance skill. You'll frequently spawn right behind enemy bots attacking a command post, and I'd pop that skill and get an almost instant killstreak of 10-12, because the bots are dumb.
I went from 17 hero kills in my first 2 months of multiplayer to 398 in my first 3 hours of co-op. Not having to worry about humans trying to kill you makes it so much easier.

For heroes, my go-to's are Han Solo and Chewbacca for Light Side (Chewie's ground slam is insanely strong and I've gotten up to eight kills at once with it).
For villains, I always try to use either Bossk or Captain Phasma.
And it goes without saying to work towards this trophy in co-op mode.

This Defiantly is scary when you first read over the achievement but there is actually an easy way to do it!
I recommend going into any of the CO-OP Mission, from there Grind 4,000 points for a Hero/villain then go on a killing spree of bots. Rinse and Repeat this method until the achievement pops.
Best heroes are defiantly ranged due to the bots somehow turning into aim gods at close range and they all group up well so its hard to kill everything with a lightsaber but if you prefer melee heroes it wont slow down the prosses. I highly recommend Captain Phasma because she is just amazing at slaying bots and she has health regen.
Good luck and go and Murder some bots!

For this trophy you simply need to get 500 kills while playing as a Hero or Villain. You can play as either in any game mode except for Starfighter Assault. The Heroes vs. Villains mode is the easiest because though because you’ll always play as a hero or villain as opposed to having to buy one with battle points during a game.
You can check your progress towards this trophy in the main menu. Go to the “Career” tab, then choose “Multiplayer” and find the “Annihilation” milestone.
EDIT: Alternatively, since one of the later updates this trophy can be obtained in co-op mode by playing with bots which might prove easier than obtaining it in regular PvP games. Credits to Mastodon for confirming this method.
