How to unlock the Master achievement in STAR WARS Battlefront - Definitive Guide

"Impressive. Most impressive."

Master
For this achievement you will need to complete all Battle Missions and Survivals on Master difficulty.

*Note - The Ice Caves/Rebel Depot maps are not needed for this achievement.

Solution
The achievement can be a little misleading as you do not need to get all the stars for every mission on master, you just need to simply complete every mission on master difficulty, so the extra stars like:

• Winning against the AI on master difficulty with the enemy team scoring less than 40 points is not required.

• Completing survival on Hard without losing a life is not required.

• Collectibles? Nope! Not needed either.

You will need to complete both variants of battle missions for this achievement. This includes: Normal & Hero Battles

The battle missions have to be completed solo against the AI, however, survival can be done in CO-OP.

Tips! - See 'Battles' & 'Survival' below for video guides/walkthroughs!

First or Third Person?
This doesn't matter too much and depends on your play style of what you prefer. For the purpose of the achievement (and the fact the game is stunning) I use third person as you can see more of the environment around you compared to first person. You can also see the enemies position from looking behind a wall.

Weapons
The best weapons to use in survival and battles are:

RT-97C Heavy Blaster - Not much to be said about this gun, it's probably the best in the game, it has great range, damage and doesn't overheat too quickly, it's an all-round death machine.

DL-44 Heavy Blaster - It's not quite the same as Han Solo's gun, but the DL-44 is one of the most powerful blaster pistols in the game. It delivers massive damage at close range, but overheats quickly.

E11 Blaster Rifle - This is the standard weapon Stormtroopers use. It has a slower rate of fire compared to the A280C blaster, but does more damage overall and is very accurate.

Classes (Battles & Survival)
I'd recommend using any classes that include:

Personal Shield: Can get you out of tight situations and provides some breathing room from the enemies, however you can't shoot while it's active.

ION Torpedo: Can do huge damage to AT-ST's and can sometimes one-shot TIE fighters.

Barrage: A grenade launcher that fires a burst of heavy explosives that can wipe a group of enemies.

Jump Pack: Can be used for quick escapes from the enemies when in a tight spot.

Battles (See below for videos) -
- In battles the AI are extremely accurate and once the harder enemies arrive it becomes a problem. For every enemy you kill they drop tokens which you will need to pick up in order to win, just be cautious when grabbing tokens as its best to clear the area as you'll be gunned down pretty quick when trying to grab tokens in the open.

- If you play with friendly AI and they die, they will drop tokens which the enemies can claim. It's up to you whether you want them on or off, it shouldn't make too much of a difference though.

- One annoying factor to battles is if you die, the enemies sometimes get a huge bonus on the tokens (sometimes even catching up to your score from 0). I find this happens most on hero battles. Even more annoying is, if you die, you will spawn in the open which makes you an easy target for the enemies depending on the map (I found Hoth to be the worst).

What Hero to use?
For the purpose of the achievement, I'd recommend using: Boba Fett , Han Solo, or Princess Leia as the other heroes are better for close-quarters which in battles you want to avoid due to how 'good' the AI is.
But again, it depends on your play style, if you watch the videos below you'll see how 'Dat Boi Treezy' makes good use of Luke Skywalker, so I wouldn't completely rule them out.

Boba Fett - "Don't get in my way"
Boba has a vast array of weapons at his disposal which are the:
- EE-3 blaster - Which is burst-fire, accurate at any range, and has insane damage.
- Wrist Rocket - Which auto-locks onto enemies after you fire (providing your on target when you fire, usually a one shot kill)).
- Jet-pack - Which can get you out of tight situations if need be but also has a longer flight time and height distance compared to the standard jump pack.
- Flamethrower - The flamethrower is good, however, I'd avoid using it in battles as it's meant for point-blank range which really, you want to avoid as you'll lose too much health getting close for the kill.

Han Solo - "The things I do for that Princess"
Han doesn't have quite the arsenal Boba has, but does have other excellent traits which are:
- The signature DL-44 heavy blaster - which does a huge amount of damage at close/medium range but does less damage at long range, which shouldn't be a problem as long as you stay out of the way and let the enemies approach.
- Lucky Shot - This ability is an explosive shot which deals huge amount of damage to groups of enemies.
- Rapid Fire - This ability is amazing as it allows you to rapid-fire without the gun overheating for a short period of time which makes quick work of the enemies.
- Shoulder Barge - This ability is great if your in a tight situation however, I'd avoid using it as the enemies will put a lot of damage into you before you even reach them.

Princess Leia - "For the Rebellion!"
Leia I'd say is weaker of three mentioned, but she can still put up a good fight with her unique abilities like:
- Leia's E-11 blaster which does more damage compared to the standard version which allows you to one-shot standard enemies, but falls short when attacking the stronger enemies.
- Trooper Bane - Similar to Han's lucky shot, this ability allows her to one-shot enemies with increased damage. You can also shoot out of Leia's enhanced shield.
- Enhanced Squad Shield - This shield can take even more damage compared to the standard shield but Leia can also shoot out of the shield if she uses her 'trooper bane' ability.
- Supply Drop - Probably Leia's best ability, she has the power to drop a health pick up, which restores your health back to 100%.

Video Guides
A big shout-out to 'Dat Boi Treezy' who has kindly provided their videos for help within the missions. (Thank you!) wave

Survival

Video Walkthroughs?
I've removed the previous videos as the ones posted in the solutions below are much better. See: 'GareBear203' Solution.

Waves?
Enemy vehicles will spawn every 3 waves, as well as a drop pod, and if you complete the vehicle wave an extra life will spawn.

Drop Pod/Extra Lives?
Depending on the map it's not always best to grab the pods as they usually land in open spaces which can leave you without cover. I'd suggest going for pods on the earlier waves and saving the power-ups for tough situations later on.
Another way to get the pod is, if you have a wave with probe droids, leave at least one alive as they cannot re-claim the pod of you. The same method applies for extra lives, always leave at least one enemy alive and grab the extra life!

Hardest Map: Sullust?
In my opinion, Sullust is the hardest map as there is very little cover throughout most of the map but also, is the only level to feature TIE fighters and AT-ST's on the vehicle waves.

For CO-OP (Solo videos below), me and my partner stayed in the large hanger. The ground troops will arrive first which will make their way to you, we'd take them out quickly as you'll get overrun. Soon after that the AT-ST's would arrive which we would lure into the hangar and go in a slow circle around the parked ship in the middle. This way the AT-ST's can't hit you and allows you to constantly fire ION torpedoes at them. Once the AT-ST's have been defeated you can move on to the TIE fighters which can also be easily destroyed by ION torpedo's.

Turrets (Turbo Lasers)?
Tempting as it is, I wouldn't recommend using the large turrets outside of the hanger as they can easily be destroyed and leave you in the open if the infantry are close by as you'll be shot running away. The TIE fighters can also destroy the turrets in one strafing run, given the chance.

Endor Cheat/Survival Location
On survival there is a nice cheat where you can go onto the higher tree platforms where the enemies cannot reach you, but can still shoot you depending on the position of you both.

You can also get the bonus star/achievement for completing a survival on Master without losing a losing a life/dying.

For Sullest survival on master, there's a wall glitch that I found on Youtube that allows you to jetpack up onto the top of the hanger, making things much easier. Using this method we never died and I think it took about 38 minutes to finish. Skip to the 1.30 mark of the video to see the glitch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9B0XrKavHg

I was on top of the hanger shooting down at the enemies. My coop partner was camped out on the cliff edge. The enemies mostly focused on him while I was able to pick them off. While on the top, the ATSTs don't shoot at you. Occasionally if you went too close to the edge the Tie Fighters would shoot you but that only happened twice all game.

Best to use this method for coop as the droids and certain Imperials would sometimes stay inside the hanger and my partner on the cliff would have to jump out to lure them into the open.

This is just a tip for anyone struggling with the regular Battle on Tatooine like I was.I tried under the ship, back right corner of the map, behind the 'snake' head-multiple times with no real success so i just gave camping on top of the ship in the middle a go & got it done first go with zero deaths in 10mins.Use the 'Escapist' star cards with no AI friendly troops -Start by killing the initial 5 enemies close to where you spawn it then jet pack up onto the ship & postion yourself in the middle of the ship about 2 thirds down on the length of the ship using the small 'fin' as cover for your back just in case troops spawning at the other side of the map shoot at you.Face towards the snake fossil/execution ship side of the map & just pick enemies off as they come onto/near the metal stairs you use to get up to the main ship.Whenever there's a lull in the enemies, which seems to be around 7-10 kills, jump down & only grab the pickups really close to & on the stairs, use your jetpack/shield if necessary & fly back up onto the ship, rinse & repeat. No enemies will come onto the ship, jet troopers will only hover & try to shoot you which kind of makes them easier to kill.Watch out for 1 turret which the occasional guy will try to use near the stairs & the odd grenade or two that'll be thrown up at you,but apart from that using this method was a cakewalk.Hope it helps somebody out,i just need to get Sullust cry & Endor done now.Good luck wink

Just wanted emphasize this for everyone:
Extra star for completing on Master with enemies scoring <40 is NOT REQUIRED for the achievement.

Thank you for the confirmation JDL. *thumbs up*

You specify the 40 point star not being required, which is awesome, but do u need the 1 life one from survival? You said you only need to complete them so I'm guessing not? Thanks

@Bond 007 - Ah yes I forgot about that! No you do not need to get that challenge for the achievement either. I'll add it to the guide though.

Sorry for the barrage of questions. Collectables? Do we need those on Master also or is it literally just beat all 12 missions on master difficulty? Because if thats the case the achievement description is worded horribly!

By Bond OO7 on 21 Nov 2015 20:27
It's probably worded correctly but just coded to unlock wrong.

@Bond 007, it's cool! Collectibles aren't required for the achievement either. Yeah just complete all missions and survival on master, the description may actually be worded correctly as 'gameboyTHXTss' said it could be coded wrong. Who knows.

Most of master isnt too bad but the normal battle on tatooine is a nitemare.I can get 40-50 points fairly quickly but you die once and the A.I just gets ridiculous and racks up 100 in no time angry

@Son of Kyuss, I can't really give any tips (I assume your playing solo?) as I did all survivals in co-op without much hassle. The only thing I can recommend is to use the 'Annihilator' Hand as you have an ION TORPEDO for the walkers, a jetpack for quick escape but also a personal shield (middle card) which can get you out of a tight spot. If your not already maybe play in third person for a better view of the area as well as using the RT-97C blaster as it has great damage, is extremely accurate, and doesn't overheat quick.

By Mr Duck on 23 Nov 2015 00:25
@Po po Tat e o' - If your not already but the bunker building is usually a good place (preferably a place with not too many exits as you can be overrun). I'd recommend using the RT-97C blaster as you can take enemies out at range down the corridors, only problem I had was the AI (they like to die), turning them off will stop the enemy team from gaining tokens but does make you target #1, however if you can take out a large group of enemies you can usually grab their tokens and run back if the area is clear.

I would strongly recommend Leia, I used her for every battle and just wiped the board. The shield is a life saver, and the hero health pickup that she can drop puts you all the way back to 100% health.

@Bond OO7 - Strange that you got the diorama but no achievement and for the tutorial, has there been any change since?

@ Dat Boi Treezy - If you'd like, I can include your videos in the guide? But obviously you've mentioned about making another solution, which you can the true credit for.

@All - Added you're recommendations to the guide!

Hey Jack, yeah you can use the videos if you want. You've already covered pretty much all there is to say really so there's not much point in me making another solution. I've done all of the Battle Missions now and unlocked this achievement somehow. I haven't even attempt any of the survival missions yet?

@ Dat Boi Treezy - Thank you! I've implemented all the videos (I think) into the guide. Thats strange what you mentioned about getting the achievement without touching survival, I did all missions first too (even did some extra stars for master but the % didn't move) and my achievement never unlocked until I did every survival :( - I wonder if this achievement could be buggy? The 'Blast' achievement is also reported buggy too.

@Failure Online - That's a strange issue, I never encountered that in my playthroughs, although mine were all done in co-op, if your doing yours in solo I've got no idea.

Thanks Jack. toast

I didn't realise the achieves were being buggy. At least it's worked out buggy in a good way! :)

Although if people are needing videos for the survival missions, I'll try and get some videos together on my next nights off but that wont be until next week unfortunately.

@Enjoji, I agree, I did the first with Luke, but the next four I did with her and i didn't give up more than 40 points once. Really for all of them you just need to find a long hallway, or something similar wait for the enemies to come kill them all and run up and grab the tokens while the next wave starts coming towards you. Her health is great, and she makes it quite simple. I actually used the same strategy for the battles, which again made it very simple, though for battles I'd recommend using the personal shield if it's an option as it's more difficult to collect the tokens.

I found several videos (not mine) that give a lot of help regarding the survival missions. The first video basically shows the easy way to do Hoth and Endor (solo or co-op) but isn't that useful for Sullust and Tatooine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HepAMsqygTk

The second video I found is a good strategy for Sullust (arguably the hardest map) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3grBEDUPlu8&feature....be

The final video is a good help for Tatooine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5tIpZDZiLQ

Good luck everyone!

Also something I'd add with regards to survival missions - if you want to go and get power-ups from the drop pods or extra lives or charges etc, wait till a round with probe droids, destroy everything apart from one droid then run around picking up what you need, avoiding it in the process.

I finally got this.

Regarding survival mode
- I did every mission with the e11 and with whichever card hand had the ion torpedo.
- I did Endor and Sullust survival maps solo, the other 2 I did co-op, and Sullust was definitely the hardest map because if you died during the rounds with Tie Fighters you could spawn outside and instantly get killed by them again. I didn't have a set strategy when a friend and I did Tatooine so I can't really help there but we did the Hoth survival as outlined for the complete a survival mission without dying achievement.

For Endor and Sullust solo survival on master
- Always kill the AT-STs last since the 2 spots I was in they wouldn't bother shooting at me unless I shot them first. They may take a pot shot or two but it won't kill you.
- Drop pods were not worth it for me on solo and I avoided them since they're hard to defend. Once you start activating it the one enemy you left alive will run to it instead of you. However, if you leave a probe droid they can't deactivate it so you could do that, I did not. I would leave a normal stormtrooper alive (probe is better) and get the extra life drops on any round I could.
- For Endor I camped in the spot in this video (not mine), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKICdlL66VA . It took me a bit to find the perfect spot in it since there are certain points where the enemy can hit you if you don't kill them fast enough but once I found it the mission became fairly easy (facing away from the opening you jumped into but backed towards that opening. Auto aim is really your friend if you do the mission in this spot as I killed almost every enemy as soon as they moved into my killzone). For the AT-STs I would kill all the ground troops first and then move to inside the log beside the point in the video (at 0:09). The AT-STs won't be able to hit you, on either side, if you're around the middle of the log. When they start moving away you can move towards the log opening on the corresponding side and hit them with an ion torpedo.
- For Sullust I stayed in this spot (video not mine), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrG4la7vs0A , even during the AT-ST/Tie Fighter round. Staying inside the base in the door cubby is not worth it, especially for the tie fighter and AT-ST rounds for solo, as the cover is unreliable and I died multiple times by enemies hitting me through the wall or trying to lead the AT-STs. For the outside spot the AT-STs won't shoot you and will walk away if you stay in the corner and don't look directly up towards them. Also, while behind the cover I would not pop out of crouch and only move to the right to see ground troops (you have to stand up and jump up one crate to lock on to the AT-STs though). The AT-STs will then move away pretty much instantly towards the stairs directly ahead and if they are the last enemy type that is when I jumped up and would hit them with ion torpedo's. The Tie Fighters may hit you once when coming in at the right angle, and take off 30 health, and I was always watching to see if I could lock on while behind the cover if they were heading towards me. Don't bother trying to shoot them if they're headed away from you. Either save the Tie Fighters till after the ground troops are dead or kill them when you have a chance behind the cover without any ground troops able to hit you. Finally, go for headshots on the invisible guys too as they will rarely hit you if you do.

Hey maybe someone can help me I've done all the battle missions and survival missions on master, but haven't received the achievement. Is it because I haven't gotten all the collectibles? Or is it because I was dead on the last wave doing Co op on the sullust mission? Any advice would be appreciated

So this glitched on me.. I had 2 survivals left on Master, Endor and Tatooine; I was at 83% completion percentage. I finished Endor and checked my progress, it reverted back to 16%. I don't know if this was caused by Jakku being released or what. So I just finished Tatooine on master, and of course the achievement didn't unlock. It says I'm now at 25% completion. So now I have to complete everything on master again and hope that it unlocks. Seriously EA.. get your shiz together.

G I thought about co-op but didn't try it. I did lots of research across multiple sites and not a single person mentioned you could boost it co-op so I went ahead and did it solo, but for w.e reason I don't think you can do it co-op. The only battles that were difficult were Hoth regular and Sullest regular. All hero battles were easy and done on first try. Play with Ai on your team and its not to bad.

Ummm not really I did Tatooine first try it was a close game but I won like 100 2 89. I hung out under the ship to start and when the harder enemies came I fell back to the back right corner of the map. Right of the ladder to get on top of the ship. There is a lot of tall cover there. I forgot the loadouts but I think I used the one with the shield. If my health fell low I put the shield up and ducted for cover till my health cam back. Sullest and Hoth were the 2 hardest for me. Hoth took me 4 or 5 tries and Sullest took MANY tries.

sullust is easy, just have you and a friend climb up into the imperial shuttle and use the wings as cover. Tie fighters don't bother you and enemies have to be at a specific angle to hit you. I honestly think endor is harder, even if you stay up in the tree where they cant reach you.

Great guide. Will be attempting this gradually. Last achievement needed but I find this game so much fun I don't mind if it is a long challenge. So far got one master in each of the 3 types of game. I will concentrate On Battle as per the suggestions. So far Boba is working for me and no AI....thats just how I role as i am really a FFA guy and hate having to rely on others. If I can get one Master a day I will be happy. So far one yesterday and two today :)

Trying to do sullust (last one) with the cliff strategy and keep getting blasted by damn tie fighters on wave 12. I love how when you die the game decides it will be nice and spawn you between two at sts.

So 100%, the Battle Missions have to be done solo correct? You can't do them on Co-Op to get progress for the achievement?

By Edweirdd on 14 Apr 2016 23:50
@Edweirdd - Since launch it's had to be done solo yes (on master difficulty) - There is an update coming in the future which will add more single player content over from the MP - with improved AI. Hopefully they will change the missions too to make them easier.

Hope this helps!

I've been wondering this for a while, no ones confirmed it yet. If you haven't already try to do just the standard maps first and see if the achievement unlocks or start one of the new maps and see if the achievement % goes up on the tracker.

For some reason the description on TA hasn't changed but if you look on Xbox it has "in the original game" tacked onto the end, so the new ones shouldn't be needed.

Can you boost the battles on master by doing vs with another player?

By P33Mann on 03 Nov 2016 06:42
@P33Man no you can't. You'll notice if you select co-op for battles the stars grey out.

For those having trouble with sullust, like me, use your squad and try to keep moving. I couldn't get the outside wall method to work. I used the 'elite' card pack and the 50 heavy repeater, while damage is low rate of fire is high and it doesn't overheat quick. With that said watch out for shock troopers because they take more damage than the repeater can deal out before the unload on you. So aim for the head and keep your distance.

I finished both sullust battles last night. The hero battle I used Leia and the other hero battles I used Luke.

for everyone having the issue that the achievement is stuck on a certain percentage even though you have done all missions on master: I can confirm what has been said earlier (can't find by who anymore, sry) that repeating one random mission on master might unlock the achievement. I had it all done but the achievement was stuck on 16%, just redid survival on hoth and it popped right after the video sequence at the end.
PS: I do not have all the stars, only the ones for master and it finally unlocked so having neither the collectibles nor the ones for hard without dying are mandatory.

I don't know if EA has made changes to Leia's character since this guide was created, but in all honesty Leia on the Hero Battles is broken AF - if you are looking to get both Master and Unstoppable, then Leia makes this an absolute cakewalk.

Personal shield + Free health token + Single Shot KO pistol = easy victory.

Endor on battle was the roughest for me, but with Leia I had it done in a bit over 3 mins. I tried Boba and Han, but on Master they did not have nearly the survivability that Leia has with her abilities.

Great guide buddy it helped me out but what i would also suggest is that on solo endor stick to the beginning and use the blaster cannon and just collect the token when its clear and on solo sullest just hide the map end Far Right corner where the crates closer to where the two big rocks are near the end of the map and use a blaster cannon if you dont get a cannon dont collect any tokens and just farm tokens untill you get the cannon, there just make sure to aim your shots cause a few times i do hit the rocks and look out in the distance for a guy that may go around the far crates and try to ambush you so snipe them down my method took me a couple of tries but i got it.

Solo Endor Battle: if you head out of the building from the start and head right down the path towards the cliff. Turn right on the path after the building and head towards the back of the map. There's a big rock you can crouch behind for cover. The jetpack enemies and a random grenade are the only things to worry about. I was able to do a zero death run. Just have to be patient and only collect when you're clear. GL

Am I missing somethin about the ratio is battles
I got the hero, but barely, not the reg solders are complete bull
I spent 5 plus hours, I get to 50-55 they have 10-15
Than the shock troopers just destroy me spawn after spawn

I don't know about anyone else, but I would absolutely recommend using Han Solo when doing the Hero battles because of his awesome ranged damage output. Boba and Leia can be okay as well, but I would definitely ignore Luke, Vadar and The Emperor as the latter characters have to get really close to the action and just get decimated.

As for regular trooper battles, I would defo recommend using any class that has the shield as the star card. This can save your ass at crucial moments.

iAlecP - Thank you for the videos and comments, I will implement them into the guide shortly.

@ JRod365 - Thank you for sharing your experience and tips! - I will implement various parts into the guide shortly. I was wondering if you had any trouble with the achievement unlocking? As some have said they didn't touch survival and it unlocked and others have similar stories to that. Just wondering if you completed all missions and survivals on master without any problems?

@ThundaDelicious - This is a common problem now I've noticed, many people are having a problem getting this achievement to unlock. :( - Some advice -

- As you asked, collectibles are not required for the achievement.

- Being dead on the last wave of co-op shouldn't effect the achievement, however, I'd suggest checking every mission and survival in the main menu that the master star is there and is 'unlocked' - just in-case one failed to unlock or in-case you've missed one.

- Check your achievements, it may have unlocked without saying, or is on 'Done!...Unlocking.' - or does it still have a %?

- I believe once all missions and survivals are completed on master a diorama figure should unlock (as well as the achievement) - Have you unlocked this too?

Don't think there's much else I can offer, hope this helps!

ok, finally managed to do this on Sullust and found an excellent method. Actually finished with 100-17 with only dying once on Master.I played with full team and once spawned on Sullust I waited for the blaster cannon power up. I waited at the very top level and kept using power ups till I got it. Then I exited the hanger to go outside. As soon as you leave the hanger turn left and go between the container boxes and the hanger wall. I went way down as far as I could go until out of bounds then turn around and place blaster cannon facing the hanger exit. Then just camp.Your team will hide and stay way protected on the otherside of containers. As the enemy team approach and in sight, blast away. Dont go out until ur sure all enemies are dead and then sprint out, grab as many tokens as you can then jump pack back to cannon before the new wave of enemies turn up. You will see some enemies way in the distance at the other containers, i killed them with the cannon but didn't go for the tokens as its way too far .Just concentrate on the immeditate enemies in front of you. Take your time and you should be getting 5-10 tokens each time.

This is only an addition to the solution above. For people having problems with the Tatooine survival, this can be done either co-op or solo. In the video is a great spot where you can literally sit and be fully protected. I do need to point out that sometimes I would have an odd AT-ST roaming the map that I would have to lure towards my location or take out from a distance. If this is the case and you are careful, you can actually get back up from the hiding spot in the video using a small ledge that you first use to get into position.
(Please note, I take no credit for this video, it just helped me find a great location which I think should be shared to help others).

This is great and works on Coop too. There is enough room for two players to hide. Word of advice though. Dont kill the AtSts above you because when they fall down and slide off the cliff they will take you with it. Died 3 times do to this. laugh

This is a solution that is comprised of only the survival maps for the "Master" Achievement in Star Wars Battlefront showing you guys all the spots I used and giving some insight and commentary over it. (Note: I completed all of these in CO-OP except Tatooine and I show you the best strategy for every map (others coming shortly.

Just a couple tips to add to the other solutions:

For non-hero battle and survival:
If you jump straight into master difficulty and are having trouble, try beating the mission on hard first. This unlocks the ability to use your custom multiplayer hand instead of the preset hands, including upgrades. Depending on the map, I recommend using bacta bomb or jump pack as one card and thermal detonator or barrage as the other, as well as personal shield.

For battle on Tatooine:
If you're having trouble running and gunning, try this video. It helped me beat it on my second try:

Apparently the description has been a little misleading for some, so here's what you need:

Complete all normal battles on master difficulty
Complete all hero battles on master difficulty
Complete all survivals on master difficulty

(personally I hid behind the dinosaur bones in the corner of the map but whatever works for you

Normal Battle - Hoth:
Hero Battle - Hoth:

Below you'll find videos showing all of the best spots to complete the survival missions, for most of them you can just camp it out and take it easy, you're not often required to leave the spot!

Tatooine:

Credit to Danilo Wayne (There is another spot in a similar place which I used but whatever works for you! And it IS POSSIBLE TO FALL FROM THE LEDGE! TAKE CARE)

Sullust:

Endor:

(there is another hiding spot inbetween two trees and a fallen tree trunk where you have a good slot to shoot out from but I can't find the footage! Ask if interested!)

Easiest one by far is Tattooine... if you look on youtube or trueachievements.com you can find footage showing a great hiding place, you'll be hard to hit and you can pretty much camp the whole thing. Also great for getting the Ackbars Elite trophy too! (complete a survival without dying).

On all of the others there is a spot you can camp out, again just search for footage and you'll find them. You can boost these with a friend if you need to.

Normal Battles:

Same again guys, look online for hiding places and these become pretty straight forward. There's a spot on each one, try them out and see what you think and if it doesn't work for you then try to find your own, but they all worked out for me.

Hero Battles:

I would recommend using Leia every time because she can spawn her own health. Again, use the hiding spots to take cover. Use your squad shield if you get over-run, spawn some health then go out again and blast them. When the coast is clear, run out and collect the tokens then run back to your hiding spot.

Tips & Notes:

You must complete all battles solo, but survivals can be done co-op with a friend.

If you're struggling on normal battles and survival, try completing the mission on Hard first. This will unlock your multiplayer card hand to use during the mission. Go to the collectibles screen, put the hand together you want and then go back into the mission and select it. Also helps you get used to the full mission too.

Don't worry about the other missions stars like:
Complete on master with the enemy scoring less than 40
Complete on any difficulty and find all collectibles.

^^ These really don't matter, you're only required to beat it on master for the trophy.

For your hand (Because I thought a lot of the hands they offer were pants!):

Personal shield is a god send!
Ion Torpedo is essential for AT-ST's and also TIE Fighters on Sullust
Barrage is useful for a cheeky shot on groups of enemies (as is the impact detonator & thermal detonator.)
Scan pulse could come in handy, although personally the personal shield was more useful.

I used the RT-97C for all normal battles and survivals. It's got great damage and range but the fire rate is insane! Put on auto-aim, put your cross hair as close to your enemy as you can, hit zoom and spam the fire button. Brilliant gun! Also it's worth noting that for enemies such as bike scouts, shadow troopers and heavy blasters (anything you need to kill quickly and accuracy counts) go for a headshot and tap cn_R2 as lightly and quickly as possible! This will still fire but if you only press it gently the recoil is minimal. This will pretty much ensure continuous headshots without having to worry about straying off-course, dispatching those pesky guys as efficiently as possible!

For survivals:

On waves which are a multiple of 3 (IE, 3, 6, 9, 12 & 15) you get vehicles like AT-ST's or TIE fighters. For NON vehicle waves, try and leave one easy enemy alive such as a probe droid or a normal storm trooper. Now use this chance to go around the map collecting hearts, drop pods & charges. Make sure you collect and pickups, place them, then go back for more before killing him and moving onto the next wave.

That's pretty much it guys, I was dreading this one but it's not as bad as it seems. If I've missed anything then please let me know, or if you need any tips or have questions and good luck! :-)

SULLIST SURVIVAL NEW GUIDE 2024

Go into the hanger up the stairs to the enemy spawn door. Jet pack straight up inbetween the wall and catwalk high above you and land on the catwalk above

This messes with the enemy spawns and makes the walkers stand still in the distance ION torpedo which ever one moves and leave the one standing still til last. Shoot all enemies you can see and wait a bit of time everyone should come to the hanger and you can shoot down on them. Droids will stay underneath usually so you may need to jump down and get them as well as jumping down to deal with the tie fighters once round is done jet pack back up. Shouldn’t really need to collect hearts with this method if you got this leave a thumbs up on the guide

To deal with the tie fighters stand in the front of the hanger until all 3 tie fighters come to you and before they shoot you run back to not get hit once they have done that run go back out they should now be circling the hanger deal with them with the Ion torpedo one by one.

I did this with K Naassttyy to make it easier not sure how easy this guide is on solo we just accidentally stumbled upon this while playing
