How to unlock the Big Bang achievement in STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order - Definitive Guide

At the top of the very long zip wire on Kashyyyk are 3 rocket troopers. This is the best place to grind it out if it doesn't come naturally. There is a meditation point at the lower end of the zip line to respawn them.
To get the kills, slow time as a rocket is launched, then use force pull to grab the rocket and then force push to send it back. You should kill all 3 troops with 1 rocket.
Rinse and repeat.

Thanks to Pink Freud PhD for a few other tips for this achievement. I'll paste them below to save opening the comments section (especially for mobile users)

1) Kills made by Force Pulling an enemy into the explosion don't count.

2) Explosions that kill enemies but were fired/thrown by enemies don't count.

3) Slow Time is not necessary but makes it easier.
Also as CERBERUS 1880 has pointed out, you dont technically need to Force Pull the rocket (or grenades) first, but it will help, especially if you need to readjust your aim.

this method only results into me pulling the slowed rocket to me and exploding, never have the chance to throw back then running back to save because fucking force is gone. They really should change name of achievement since all explosives don't count. should be relabeled only one type of explosive and only if you catch and throw back achievement

@Breedhate68 You dont have to pull it back just slow the rocket then force push it back. That should work too. Force pulling it is only really there to steady the shot if you are off a little. It also helps if you're upgraded enough to have more force.
Moreover, this method is more for mopping up, otherwise, just force pushing flame troopers away and thus exploding them will add up as you play.

Just got the achievement. I can confirm I was able to get the achievement with those three rocket troopers just with Force Push on the rocket and killing all 3 at once.

@Darth Lordi
This is more for mopping up the achievement if it doesn't come naturally in your original playthrough.

Just wanted to say I got this by ONLY force pushing rockets back at rocket troopers. never used pull or slow. that being said, i killed WAY more than 20 rocket troopers through the campaign and exploring, so it must be finnicky and not count all the time.

Hmm used the above Guide and couldn't get this to pop (at this location)
Did:
* Force pull rocket and push
* Just push
* Slow, pull then push

And counted the 3 deaths each time

Just wanted to add that I am in the same situation as csilk. Tried different variants of this solution and force pushing 20+ flamethrower troopers multiple times and it won't unlock.

Did this get easier with the latest update? I'm pretty sure I only force grabbed a rocket twice and only pushed the rest. Still got the chievo.

I’ve unlocked this achievement at Kashyyyk, in a simple way, just following the main story. Just grab the explosives bees and throw it to enemies. After 20 defeats, it pops. I hope it helps to someone. And apologies for my bad English...

No 1 is incorrect. In the case of grenades you do not need to force pull them. Simply force pushing them in to the enemy counts. That's the method I've just used to unlock it.

With the latest update you can now unlock this achievement easly in Battle Grid mode. Just spawn many of the rocket troopers and enable infinite health/power. You can now practise without any pressure. After some time you will get the achievement

Meditation Training is the best place to get this achievement. You have to complete the story before you get access to Meditation Training. You access Meditation Training from any meditation point after you complete the story

What is with the slow, pull, and push crap? You made it more difficult with this guide than it needs to be. All you have to do is push the rocket back at the rocket troopers a split second after they launch a rocket at you.

First off, +1, great location and suggestion. A couple notes for future people:

1) Kills made by Force Pushing grenades or rockets don't count unless you Force Pull them first.

2) Kills made by Force Pulling an enemy into the explosion don't count.

3) Explosions that kill enemies but were fired/thrown by enemies don't count.

4) Slow Time is not necessary but makes it easier.

TL;DR The method of Force Pull plus Force Push is non-negotiable, I wasted a bunch of time before learning of this location ;)

You only need to Force push. When a rocket trooper fires at you, a yellow circle appears just before they fire. Press Force Push at this point and the rocket will blow up instantly killing them. I used this method to pick up the achievement last night. No slowing or pulling necessary.

The latest update adds a new mode called Meditation Training you can access at meditation spots.

Go to the Meditation Training. You'll want the mode called "Battle Grid."

Choose whatever location you want, but you want it at the "small" size. Select and place some Flametroopers (up to five) and start the training. Force Push (RT) the Flametroopers into the glowing wall around the arena. Their backbacks will ignite and they will explode a couple seconds later. Restart the training and rinse and repeat as needed!

Am I doing something wrong? When I force push them into the wall, they don't ignite. They just fall over and get back up again.

Edit: it didn't seem to work in the first "Meditation" map, but did when I selected a different map.

Easy way for the achivment.
When you see the flamethrower trooper. Youse "push force" (RT on xbox)so they fly into a wall. There backpack become fire and explode after seconds.

There is a good spot on kashyyyk with a save point in the near to push the achivment.

This was perfect! There’s a spot very close to the landing pad with 3 flame troopers and a meditation point nearby. I just dropped down and force pushed each flame trooper into the wall then hopped back up and rested. Sometimes they took out multiple storm troopers with them so it went incredibly quick! Thank you for this suggestion. I never would’ve thought of it otherwise.

I got this achievement when I force grabbed and then threw a flame beetle at another enemy. Didn't see this in any of the other solutions or comments, so I thought I'd tell you. I think this is an easy way to get the achievement because there are plenty of flame beetles at various places on Kashyyyk and you don't need to wait for an enemy to throw or shoot an explosive at you.

In this video guide I will show you how to defeat 20 enemies with explosives. The easiest way to get this achievement is to wait until you get the Force Pull ability. This will be story related so don't worry about missing it. Once you get it on Zeffo, you can go find a rocket trooper. I pointed out a few in the video. Now you need to wait until he fires a rocket, then slow him. After you slow him you will need to Force Pull him into the rocket. As long as you stand in a straight line from when the rocket is fired, he will be Force Pulled right into the rocket every time. Once he is dead go to a meditation spot and refresh the enemies. Once you get the 20th guy killed by a rocket the achievement will pop.

First visit to Kashykk. You'll get to the point where you activate a large machine that plows through a wall. Climb up, slow a blade and you'll find a meditation circle. Rest and double back and you'll find 2 flame troopers in the room you were in. Force push them into the wall do that they catch fire and then explode.

Go back to the circle, rest and repeat this until the achievement pops.

The easiest way to get this achievement is pushing the rocket launcher stormtrooper's rockets back into its face after it shoots them. You just use the force push ability while facing them and it will work great.

If you don't get it during the campaign, you can easily get the rest of the kills you need after you beat the game by going into the meditation training mode and spawning in the rocket launcher troopers. Just spawn in five of them across the arena from you and push back their rockets until you get the achievement.

Cal Kestis doesn't have explosive moves so you will need to use your enemies weaponary to get that trophy. You can get that trophy by:-
  • Pulling Rockets lauched at you from the Rocket Lauchner Trooper with l2.png then sending it back with Push r2.png.
  • Pulling explosive enemies such as Flame Beetle (Firefly like insect) in Kashyyyk with l2.png then throwing them back with Push on other enemies r2.png.
  • Usinfg the Push ability when a Stormtrooper throws at you a grenade r2.png.

For this achievement, you must use enemy rockets or grenades against them. The easiest method is against rocket troopers. When they go to fire their weapon, you'll see a small yellow flash as it exits the tube, this is when you'll want to press to shove it back at them. Do this any time you see one to knock it out over time, or simply use the group of three at the top of the zipline from one of the meditation points on Kashyyyk.

You could also use the same method as we did for killing a trooper with his own blaster, and slow the rocket then pull the enemy into said rocket for a clean kill. Either method will do the trick.

This is done as follows. We find an attack aircraft with a grenade launcher, after it fires we slow down time by , then we attract the projectile , and throw it back to the stormtrooper .

It's very easy to forget on Kashyyyek, there will be 3 grenade launchers in one place at once.

the above method can be done without slowing down time
you can get it earlier in the story without attraction: we throw rockets and grenades back at the stormtroopers with a push , the main thing is not to be late - the grenade launchers immediately after the shot, the grenades lie on the ground and start squealing, we push them back towards the attack aircraft

For a long time I didn’t understand why rockets weren’t caught, but dudes were attracted when you pressed .

You just DO NOT need to do a camera capture and it will work straight away.

You don't have to worry about rocket launchers and grenades. On Kashyyyk you can throw fireflies at enemies; at the end of the clearing I got a lock when I threw a firefly at a firefly. I don’t know if 2 or 1 are counted at once, I didn’t count.

You just have to throw grenades at the enemy. The technique of pulling the victim onto a slow grenade does not work. Strange oversight on the part of the developer.

Training mode.
After completing the story, this mode will open. Place 5 rocket launchers side by side in a pile and fulfill the conditions (slow down the shot, attract, shoot at enemies). A few passes and the trophy is yours.

When the ATTRACTION ability opens, look for a stormtrooper with a rocket launcher. You need to catch the rocket with gravity and launch it at the enemy. Ideal if there is a crowd nearby

As I understand it, you don’t have to look for stormtroopers with rocket launchers, spiky plants on the zeffo that can be pulled out and thrown at the enemy are also suitable, as well as an imperial reconnaissance drone, if you pull it towards you it explodes when it hits an enemy

Don't listen to those who talk about attraction. Simple enough to push the rocket back into the stormtrooper, don't bother.
