Scavenger Droid (Koboh > Southern Reach): from the Southern Reach meditation point, continue on and down the hill, past the tent until you get to a split. At the split, head right and you should eventually find three Gorgers. Next to the Gorgers’ location is a silo behind which is a Scavenger Droid. If you kill it, it will drop a Data Disc or Priorite Shard. Another one can be found next to the Swindler’s Wash meditation point as you make your way to the Forest Array region. Don’t stress too much if you can’t kill one on your first try. You’ll eventually have to as they’re part of the planets’ collectible cleanups. If they burrow, reset the area at the nearest Meditation Point.

I’ve not properly read through this, but if this achievement is anything like the one in Fallen Order, then it’ll list out boss fights here too.
Might be worth placing the whole solution in a spoiler to avoid ruining any secret bosses.

By FrostGhilidon on 02 May 2023 03:25 Are any of these missable? Obviously if you never go to a certain part of the map, I suppose they would be. But do any of them disappear from the game after certain events? Such as not scanning enemy X during mission Y results in you completely missing the scan and needing to start the game over.

By FrostGhilidon on 02 May 2023 07:06 As far as I know there are no missable enemies.
Although I don't know where you would encounter the Haxion Brood enemies after completing your last bounty hunter mission. So I would definitely advise to scan everything you encounter as soon as possible.
Please add a spoiler warning to this solution or just leave out the first entry since it is story related anyway.

By FrostGhilidon on 03 May 2023 17:12 Can you battle the Skriton on Jedha again? My game glitched with BD and it wouldn't let me use him for a while so I couldn't scan the boss when it was scripted.

By Rakatan God on 06 May 2023 00:22 The story/scripted section? I don’t know, I don’t think so because I’ve gone through the desert where it was and never saw it again. But don’t take my word on it….yet. I haven’t researched it yet as I work this weekend so I’ll probably forget until Monday

By mga74 on 09 May 2023 14:21 I think you can scan them after defeating an AT-ST, they usually pop out of the hatch after defeating one. Kill him then scan.

By Wookiee Hairem on 14 May 2023 21:05 Anyone have problems getting The Massiff? I can't get to him as there are two big water tank looking things in the way. I've finished the story and in this area there is at least one other door I can force up and down that these tank things block too.
Update:
In fact The Massiff isn't even standing where he was before it's empty with just the echo on the ground
Update 2:
I' d say this is glitched because he's the Legendary I'm missing too.

By MajorMercyFlush on 15 May 2023 20:22 Should this be marked a missable? I failed to scan some of the bounties and they don't seem to be respawning. Also, what if you don't scan the legendary enemies. I killed the Rancor and didn't scan that, but since it was early in the game I started a new run. Bounties are much later and don't want to restart again just yet.

By HenchmanC on 15 May 2023 23:22 I think I ended up killing one of the Bounty Hunters by force pushing them off a ledge rather than fighting them. I'm curious if that's why I'm not at 100% yet but I'll worry about it much later!

By Mr Peanutbubber on 16 May 2023 18:12 Also wondering about bounty hunters. One of mine fell off a cliff and all of the “Haxion Brood Brawler Bounty Droid” types haven’t allowed me to scan after defeating. Anyone know if these spawn outside of the encounters?

By BigPapaBee on 03 Jun 2023 02:53 Thanks for the guide! For those with this and the Caij Match chievo glitching. I started a brand new playthrough and speed ran the main campaign to get all scans and bounties. Doesn't take too long. My progress bar for all scans wouldn't budge from 93% until I had every single scan again, even though I only needed Haxion Brood it appears to restart on a new playthrough.

By Dan Solo 88 on 12 Jun 2023 10:21 about: Imperial Officer (Jedha > Whistling Drop): shortly after a windy section, you’ll drop into an area with some Stormtroopers fighting against a Skriton. You can find the corpse of an Imperial Officer by the fire. If you walk close to the fire, BD-1 will beep.
in NG+ i didn't find any, when i went back to Jedha, there was no skriton and no corpses (i must have skipped the scan when i went through there)
the way i solved it: remove the warrior perk, then kill an ATST and an officer will pop out. with warrior perk, it's always purge troopers

By Apostle92627 on 17 Nov 2023 16:02 I actually could not scan Korej Lim (HB Grenadier) as he was not there after the cutscene with Caij. Do anymore appear?
(I saw the above post which says it happens later v- this is helpful) but I would like to get it earlier.

By Supastar1980 on 21 May 2024 06:03 Worked perfectly using ixnay37's method linked above.
If you can't reach the door that's mentioned, it's easiest to fast travel to Officer's Quarters and then backtrack until you reach that lift. Switched to story mode difficulty and it's only a few rooms of enemies.

By webmeister2k on 21 May 2024 14:04 If you got everything (I got the Viper by accident in a random battle) the last (auto)scan is the final boss and you will unlock the achievement right after you beat him in the cutscene.

These are the At-ST drivers whom pop out of them once you destroy the AT-ST.
Easy to find in jedha "combing the desert" as imperials love to do

Edit: Never mind, got it after defeating the bounty hunters called something the Half and something the Other Half

By mga74 on 09 May 2023 14:21 I think you can scan them after defeating an AT-ST, they usually pop out of the hatch after defeating one. Kill him then scan.

By Wookiee Hairem on 14 May 2023 21:05 Should this be marked a missable?

By Mexpha on 18 May 2023 11:51 Just an update for anyone in my predicament above: I finished all the bounty Hunter rumours at which point the achievement unlocked. Not sure if I was being a bit blind and had them or it filled them in for me, but worth giving this a shot!

By alandonovan on 24 Nov 2023 18:45 Anyone have problems getting The Massiff? I can't get to him as there are two big water tank looking things in the way. I've finished the story and in this area there is at least one other door I can force up and down that these tank things block too.
Update:
In fact The Massiff isn't even standing where he was before it's empty with just the echo on the ground
Update 2:
I' d say this is glitched because he's the Legendary I'm missing too.

On each occasion you defeat an enemy for the first time, you’ll be able to instruct BD-1 to scan them by pressing down on the d-pad when prompted. During the course of the story, you’ll be able to complete the majority of the Tactical Guide, but you’ll also need to complete Bounties for Caij, as each class of Haxion Brood also counts towards this. Same goes for legendary adversaries - you’ll have to scan some of those, too.

It is worth considering that the enemy can be scanned before being killed using the BD-1 (

Difficulties may arise with the Viper Probe Droid - an ordinary enemy who is encountered in the story in the location Alignment Control Center (Koboh) . The droid explodes upon death, so you need to scan it first with BD-1. If you missed it during the story, several droids can be found in the Central Command (Nova Garon) location.
