How to unlock the Riposte achievement in STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor - Definitive Guide
Kind of a confusing description. To unlock this you need to Parry an enemy that is resisting the force pull. I did this on the "Raider Veteran" enemy which is found throughout Shattered Moon and later in Koboh.
I had force pull fully upgraded but I believe you only need the second tier of it to achieve this.
Force Pull & hold with as the enemy is flying towards you parry with and the achievement will unlock.
The enemy will be "resisting" if he does an animation (like putting his weapon into the ground) and doesn't fly straight at you.
My video guide further explains and shows this.

You don’t need any force upgrades I got this achievement about 20 minutes into the game (on my main) and I haven’t put a single point into any of my force abilities

Firstly you'll need the ability to pull a force resistant enemy by unlocking "Unrelenting Pull" which can be found under the Force Telekinesis skill tree:
Wrenching Pull (1 Skill Point)
Twin Pull (2 Skill Points)
Unrelenting Pull (3 Skill Points)
Now you need to find an elite enemy (e.g. Veteran Raiders) or a named boss (e.g. Zeik) that is resistant to force abilities. Attempt to use Force Pull on them by holding - they'll resist by holding their ground and eventually counter attack you. Before they hit you with a counter press to parry them and unlock the Riposte achievement.

Force Pull resisting enemies include larger Bedlam Raiders, Purge Troopers, certain melee droids, and other larger foes. You’ll know when they’re a Force Pull resisting enemy, as any attempt to use the ability will see them lean back and skid along the floor slowly towards you, rather than being lifted. When they resist, keep the Force Pull button (L2) held down until you draw them in close enough, making sure you have enough Force power in your gauge. Once they’re close, they’ll automatically attack as your hold loosens, so be ready to parry with L1. Successfully deflect their incoming strike, and you’ll earn this. Timing is everything!

Can be done in training mode. On the easiest difficulty, the enemy does not resist, so set it to a higher difficulty level.

The point is that many melee enemies will resist the pull first and then dash. It is necessary to parry this jerk.

It is not necessary to reset the skills, through a fast journey we go to the Diagnostics corridor, press the button on the remote control, a compartment will open in which there will be two MagnaGuards, and here we get the achievement.

I did it on a random hunter-boss-killer with a red life bar. At L2 he attracted and at the moment when he attacks the sting at L1 did not interfere with pumping, the main thing is not to kill until you catch the moment to parry. Did it on easy difficulty
