How to unlock the Pinpoint achievement in STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor - Definitive Guide
So I'm going to make this easier for you all since I struggled with what everyone stated. As you know, you first need to have the Dual Wield skill, "Precision Release." Now what I did to make this easy and I cheesed it was I went into a Meditate circle and I chose training. Once you are in training choose the one that says, "Parry." Once you are in there the enemy spawns in the exact spot so make sure to remember that because once you are down on the force you can just hack at them until the bar is max again. Now everyone else said to let it go before they hit you. I say otherwise, if you want to cheese it make sure that you are right in front of the spawn point and after they spawn hold to start the move. LET THEM HIT YOU. Once they hit you then let go of , but you have to do it right after they hit you.
If this has helped or you need a little more clarity let me know.

This is the solution, it does not work when you release before you get hit. that way you just take damage. hold Y, get hit, release a fraction after the hit. also good idea to do it in training.

First you'll need to unlock the "Precision Release" ability found under the Lightsabre Dual Wielding tree:
Note: The enemy doesn't have to die, just doing the ability should count.
- Backstep Slash (1 Skill Point)
- Focused Parry (1 Skill Point)
- Precision Release (2 Skill Points)
Note: The enemy doesn't have to die, just doing the ability should count.
The "Precision Release" ability is in the Dual Wield skill tree. It requires the previous two skills "Backstep Slash" & "Focused Parry" (1 skill point each) & you will then be able to unlock it with 2 skill points.
You must stay in dual wield stance to perform this maneuver.
Press & Hold next to melee enemies and right before they attack you release the button to perform a perfect precision release.
You will know you have done it right as there will be a ring of explosion around Cal.

First, purchase the Precision Release skill in the Dual Wield tree for 2 skill points. You will need to also buy Backstep Slash and Focused Parry for 1 skill point each.
Next, isolate an enemy and hold and release the moment the enemy attack is about to land. Cal will go into a frenzy animation if it is done correctly. Then, repeat the process 10 times. It may take a few additional tries if the timing wasn’t close enough to perfect.
Feel free to farm the same group of enemies by resting at a nearby meditation point. The trophy will unlock once the 10th precision release is executed in the perfect window.

You’ll find this ability in the Dual-Wielded Lightsaber Skill Tree - once acquired, you’ll be able to hold down triangle when using this Stance to have Cal put the lightsaber in front of him using the Force. Keep the button held until the moment an enemy attacks you, then let go. If you get the timing right, Cal will hit back with an automatic counterattack, denoting that you’ve successfully executed a precision release. Do this ten times to unlock the trophy.

If it doesn't work, then try to let go just before the enemy strikes, not after.

12/10/2023 I personally encountered a bug that the trophy does not fall out: I did it a bunch of times both in training and with different opponents in different locations - no results. I'll try in NG+ since there's only one trophy left

in general, while holding the triangle, you need to release it when the enemy gets into the ability cloud, the swords will light up and there will be a push of force in addition to damage...
