How to unlock the So Uncivilized achievement in STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor - Definitive Guide

You will need to progress the story until you unlock the Blaster Stance to get this. Once you unlock blaster stance at any meditation point unlock the Point Blank ability in the blaster tree.

To use this ability you need to be in blaster stance and press cn_Y when you are near an enemy, or as an enemy is about to attack you to blast them away.

What's tricky about this achievement is you need to defeat the enemy with the ability and it is not strong enough to kill most enemies unless they are low HP. So what I did for most of my 10 kills is basically run up to the easier enemies in the game and get close to them and press cn_Y.

My video guide shows the move you are looking for that will count towards the 10 kills.

If enemy health is an issue you could probably drop the difficulty to Story to knock this out easy.

An easy spot to get this done is right by the Whistling Drop meditation point in Jedha.

Right round the corner are two hardshells who will die from one point blank shot. Rest up and then repeat.

Great spot wariowarrior, those hardshells telegraph their attacks too, made getting this super easy.

The hard shells at Whistling Drop on Jedha are where it is at. I actually got two in one shot as my last two kills. The key is to wait for them to attack you, and parry with Y - it animates about 80% of the time if parry. It is easy to time their attacks because they rear-back before they lunge.

Another good spot is in Training - Evade. Once you empty your clip just hack away until it refills.

I “purchased” the Improved Clip skill which gave me 9 rounds. That made it much quicker.

Another quick and easy place to grind this out is Superstructure Fabricators on Shattered Moon, if you happened to go there straight after Jedha like I did.

If you rest after your first (story) trip through this area
then three B1s (1 ranged, 2 melee) spawn right outside the exit door. Simply shoot the ranged one as soon as you open the door, and then each of the melee ones will go down to a single easy Point Blank counter (on default difficulty, at least) - their attacks are extremely slow and obvious. Rest and repeat until the cheevo pops.

Package donkey is spot on. Easiest and fastest way is the training/evade method

I also used PackageDonkey’s tip to do this in training/evade mode. At first it was a bit random to get it to count. But when I “took a step back cn_LS just before the trooper was trying to hit me and pressed cn_Y” it counted every time.

Works great against the Rawka (headbutting chickens)
Meditation Point: Forest Array is a farming spot I found. There are 3 that spawn in the room off to the right and telegraph their attacks with their glowing eyes.

Go into training, select attack, damage the enemy that spawns enough so a single blaster blot will kill them. Fire the killing shot as they attack (as though you were parrying). If you do it correctly, there will be a large orange/red circular effect on screen. Rinse and repeat until you get the achievement.

Heads up, if you changed your button layout, you might not be able to trigger the Point Blank skill. I had it set up with LB as the Special Moves button & Y as Parry/Block. The skill showed to use LB to trigger when looking at its info, but LB did absolutely nothing with this stance. Y would do a parry then gunblast, but it wasn't the Point Blank skill & didn't count for this achievement. I reset my button mapping to put Special Moves back on the Y button and it worked fine completing the achievement in Evade Training.

Great shout there @Cerberus XII - I thought I was doing it correctly, but you're right - you need the large orange/red effect to show on screen for it to count. The smaller blue effect isn't the correct one.

I actually found this easiest to do in Training - Perry. The trooper that spawns dies in one hit, so you don't have to waste time attacking him first, which also makes it easy to build up your shots. But like also mentioned, you need that red/orange effect on screen, the blue one in the video above wasn't doing it.

Once completing Chapter 3 on Jedha you'll unlock the Blaster Pistol. To equip the Blaster ensure you visit a meditation point, then Stances and swap in the new Blaster Stance. Now you just need to unlock the "Point Blank" ability found under the Lightsabre Blaster Tree:
  • Flying Lunge (1 Skill Point)
  • Efficient Heat Transfer (2 Skill Points)
  • Point Blank (1 Skill Point)
With the ability unlocked head out to find some trouble. Ensure you have the Baster stance active and the Blaster is charged (bottom left) by defeating enemies. As the Point Blank ability requires 2 shots per counter. Now approach an enemy get them to Melee you. As they attempt to strike you press cn_Y to do a Point Blank counter.

As mentioned in the description, you will need to kill the enemy with this ability. So pick out softer targets and lower the difficulty level to Story Mode to kill them in one shot!

This is a more decisive guide but the 2 things I will add is that you cannot block or use force abilities on the enemy as it voids the kill. The other is that you need to press Y within the parry timeframes given to your gameplay. Story mode is excellent for single shot kills against weaker enemies. The enemies with batons are the best because you just need to wait until you would normally parry and hit Y instead of LB which blocks.

At a mediation point, load up Training —-> Evade. One Scout Trooper will spawn endlessly.

After receiving a blaster during the main quest Reunion in Chapter 3, spend 4 skill points in the Blaster tree leading up to and including the Point Blank skill. Then, look for squads with melee enemies in it. For the skill to count, press cn_T just before getting hit. The Point Blank shot needs to be a killing shot. Weak enemies like stormtroopers and battle droids are the easiest to farm, but this can also be earned by using your lightsaber to reduce the health of stronger enemies.

First you need a blaster. You’ll get this as a gift from Bode when you visit Jedha for the first time. Then, you need to purchase the Point Blank skill from the Blaster Stance skill tree, which will require a fair few Skill Points. As soon as you’ve added Point Blank to your arsenal, ensure you have the Blaster Stance equipped at a Meditation Point, then use it to defeat ten enemies. You’ll need to essentially parry a weak enemy with a press of Y at the right moment for a Point Blank kill - it’s tricky, so it might take a little while to work out the timing. Stick with it, and this will pop soon enough.

Only available in Marksman stance. It is also necessary to upgrade the corresponding skill (shot at point-blank range). Next, on any simple melee enemy, instead of parrying, we use the acquired skill through

You just need to click on it once during an enemy attack. Do not pinch/hold - just press at the right time
