It wasn't me
Bribe an Imperial Officer to clear Wanted Level 5
3.7%
How to unlock the It wasn't me achievement in Star Wars Outlaws - Definitive Guide
The easiest way to earn a high wanted level is to find an Imperial Terminal or in an Imperial territory. Start by shooting some stormtroopers, and allow them to radio in for help. You will get a WANTED notification, and earn a wanted level in the top left corner of your screen. Take out enemy reinforcements as they arrive, and keep going to raise your wanted level. If they stop coming, hop on your speeder, and find more enemies on the roadways. Keep fighting the attacking enemies until you reach 5 out of 6 levels.
Step 2: Find a Corrupt Imperial Officer
These exist on all planets, and can be found through intel or just visited if you know their location. One is located near the outskirts of Mirogana on Toshara. Another is found on Mos Eisley. They appear on your map if you've visited them before as well.
Once you have Wanted level 5, quickly make it to the corrupt imperial officer, start a conversation, and pay the fee. It seems to be 220 Credits by default. Once you pay it, the search is abandoned, you are no longer wanted and the achievement unlocks.
Dotted throughout Star Wars Outlaws’ open-world are various different ways to shake your Empire tail, should you provoke the ire of the dictator overlords in the game’s Wanted system. One of the ways to get the Empire off your tail is to bribe a Corrupt Imperial Officer.
Corrupt Imperial Officers are generally found in the game’s larger cities (Mirogana, Kijimi, Mos Eisley & Myrra), and can be found on the city mini-map if you look for the Imperial spoke icon i.e. you’ll find one south of the entrance to Makal’s Gambling Parlor in Mirogana City on Toshara, for instance.
Now, there’s a few things to note about this trophy:
- It has to be at Wanted level 5, because if you head to level 6 it becomes a Manhunt and the only way out of that is death or killing a troop of Death Rangers (or a Raider).
- And secondly, you can’t use a gun/weapons/anything in cities, and if you get spotted by a Stormtrooper, you’re toast.
So, in order to get the ‘It wasn’t me’ trophy easily, head to Akiva’s orbit and start a fight with the Empire - this is easy to do as in the south of the map (as in, map screen, not south in space) you’ll see the Convoy Shipwreck in the Galactic Empire’s forbidden zone.
Then, when you hit level 5, fly directly to Akiva, and specifically Myrra. That’s because right by the landing pad is a Corrupt Imperial Officer with no Stormtroopers in sight for you to get detected.
Pay your fine, lose your level 5 Wanted level, and get the ‘It wasn’t me’ trophy in the process.
