In order to unlock the ‘Might want to buckle up’ achievement, you’ll need to fully upgrade the Trailblazer so that in each of the primary slots there is a fully upgraded piece of equipment. That means fully upgrading the following aspects to the ship:

• Cannons
• Launcher
• Turret
• Propulsion
• Shield
• Hull

There’s also another category, “Passive,” which can’t be upgraded, so we’re not sure whether that counts. Maybe just having a passive in the slot will count (we always had one in there, so we’re not sure). If that’s the case, head to the Crimson Dawn clan vault in Mirogana (north) and grab the Renpalli Station key card. Then, head to Renpalli Station in Toshara’s orbit and on the western side of the base, up the turbolift, there’s a door on the left. Use the Renpalli Station keycard here and you’ll get the CO-BA Countermeasures passive item from the chest inside.

You don’t need to upgrade every iteration of the Trailblazer’s options, just the one you have equipped. i.e. you don’t need to upgrade the Laser Cannons, Rapid Fire Cannons and Plasburst Cannons, just the one will do. That said, it does seem like you need to own every base version of each weapon, though (our achievement popped when we didn’t own every upgrade for every combination, but did when we bought a weapon type we previously did not own).

Once you have all types of each modification, plus the ones in the 7 key slots are fully upgraded, as soon as you head to space the ‘Might want to buckle’ achievement is all yours.
