How to unlock the Shoot first achievement in Star Wars Outlaws - Definitive Guide
Once you visit Tatooine, you'll have to complete some main quests. You'll eventually be able to visit Mos Eisley, talk to the bartender to earn intel, and start a questline called The Gunslinger. Complete the questline to earn this Expert in the abilities menu, and you'll be able to mark up to 5 enemies now.
Step 2: Complete the Gunslinger challenge; earning "The More" ability to earn your 6th mark
You'll have to hit 15 headshots, and kill 4 enemies in an adrenaline rush 3 times. Do this during missions or go to imperial territories and attack enemies to make it go faster.
Step 3: Kill 6 enemies in 1 adrenaline rush
The easiest way to get a large amount of enemies to attack you is to attack an imperial terminal, and raise your wanted level. Wait for reinforcements to show up, have 6 enemies near each other, and use the ability to take them all out. They must be red when marked or else they won't die.

The Adrenaline Rush in Outlaws allows Kay to slow down time when she’s filled her Adrenaline meter, and mark targets for certain death. When you start the game you’ll be able to tag 3 targets, but by completing certain Expert Quests and their specific ability’s criteria, you’ll be able to tag many, many more.
The specific Experts, how you unlock them, and what you need to unlock more Adrenaline Rush targets are:
- You’ll first need the Gunslinger’s “Adrenaline Rush Mastery” ability, which raises the max number of targets by 2 (so, from the default 3 to 5). This ability automatically unlocks once you complete the Expert Quest, “The Gunslinger,” which becomes available after you’ve completed “The Heavy” on Tatooine.
- And secondly, the Gunslinger’s “The More” ability, which raises the max number of targets by an additional 1 (i.e. from 5 to 6). To unlock “The More” ability once you have finished “The Gunslinger” and you need to do the following: Defeat 4 enemies during an Adrenaline rush 3 times; and hit 15 headshots.
Once you’ve done the above, then, you’ll be able to target 6 enemies and unlock the ‘Shoot first’ achievement.
In terms of where you do it. If you’ve not finished the main quest, “Viper,” which is one of the last quests on Akiva. Towards the end of that mission you’ll have to hold a point from a massive onslaught of Stormtroopers and officers. It’s really easy to get it here. If you’ve already done that, just run into an Imperial base (like the Imperial Forward Base in eastern Toshara) and start shooting until one of them pulls the alarm. Then, stay in cover, and when you’re surrounded and have a full Adrenaline Rush meter, run out into the open and click in both sticks. It’ll be like shooting fish in a barrel.
It should be said too that you can also artificially boost the amount of Adrenaline Rush targets you can tag with various Charms as well - so you technically don’t need “The More” ability if you get the right Charm. One of those Charms is the Jarwal Bloom, which “Increases the number of Adrenaline Rush targets by 1.”
The Jarwal Bloom’s location can be found in the Mount Selasa region of Akiva, specifically in the southeast of the region, where you’ll find a pirate cave of sorts. Inside the locked room at the back (west side) is a chest with the Jarwal Bloom Major Charm inside.
As a side note, this must be done on foot as well. The first time we used Adrenaline Rush after maxing it out (with the Jarwal Bloom equipped) was on the back of our speeder, and we killed more than 6 troops and it didn’t pop. However, once we did it off the speeder, it popped instantly.
Once you've unlocked the ability, you'll need to locate 6 enemies together. I found the easiest way to do that is complete a smuggling/gun running contract on Toshara, taking contract item from point A to point B. Those contracts are available on a regular basis, too.
After picking the contract item up, jump on your speeder and then start travelling - groups of enemies will spawn, both on foot and on speeders. The groups on foot will normally spawn in threes and quite often you will spawn two groups close to each other. As they shoot at you, your adrenaline will spike. Jump off your speeder about halfway between those two groups and they should all be within striking distance. I didn't seem to get this trophy whilst riding the speeder, I suggest doing this on foot.
I managed to replicate this almost every smuggling run with little effort - invariably by the time I got off my speeder to activate adrenaline rush I had the two groups of three on foot, plus an additional 2 or 3 on speeders to target. Plenty of fodder to aim at!
